KU fan here. What a defensive struggle of a game this was! Both teams played great defense. Kansas played with effort and urgency for about 5 or 6 minutes down the stretch and still almost won. But they didn't deserve to win this one. You gotta bring it for the full 40 in the dance. We simply didn't. Stupid turnovers and lots of them. Several can be attributed to St. Johns great defense. But several were just head scratchers. The more deserving team won this game in the end. Best of luck to St. Johns next week!

I understand that Kansas had 4 fouls to give but they had to know that they couldn't run out the clock by just fouling so why not just full court pressure St. Johns and force a bad shot and they would have had a shot to go to overtime but they end up leaving 4 seconds on the clock which is an eternity and they wind up losing i just don't understand why they just didn't use the full court press and now they go home
That bucket is on Peterson not knowing where his man was before the play started and not collapsing the paint on the drive. Maybe just maybe playing more reps with your team during the year would’ve helped his defensive awareness a little 🤷🏽♂️
