They need more defensive stoppers. If I was the coach I would tell Rui to step up and become a defensive stopper. He has the tools to be a good defender. Luka can't guard a drunk turtle so you can't rely on his lazy ass. Rui needs to take it on himself to become an elite defender to help this team. The best teams are defensive minded. They always win chips!

Luka was an awful watch tonight. Most of his shot selection were poor and unnecessary, had better passing options. If lakers need a deep playoff run, he better trust his teammates instead of going heroball action. Kept taking useless threes when they had enough time on the shot clock, leading to transition opportunities for pistons. They don’t even have a solid backcourt defense. Unless they get a solid offensive rebounder, his high volume 3pt attempts are double edged blade.

The refs really tried to give another win to the Fakers.
Lakers have NO DEFENSE at all, and NO OFFENSE, except Luka, Reeves, or LeBron going 1-on-1 against their defender. This recent winning stretch by the Lakers has merely resulted because some Lakers have been very unconscious scoring. But that will not last long. Especially when they face playoff level defense, less fast break opportunities & and more half court sets on offense. Lakers are still VERY LIKELY to lose in round 1 of playoffs to Houston, Denver, or Minnesota (whichever of these teams they end up playing). If they somehow win round 1, they will definitely get thumped in round 2 by OKC or San Antonio. Lakers will NOT EVER win much in the playoffs, with terrible career defenders like Luka, Reeves, and Kennard on the team. Plus, now at age 41, LeBron is no longer a good defensive player.
