SPURS POSTCAST: Victor Wembanyama TAKES OVER Miami, Spurs Overpower Bam Adebayo & Heat
Casey Viera recaps a decisive 136-111 Spurs rout of the Miami Heat, headlined by another dominant effort from Victor Wembanyama.
San Antonio (54-18) extends its winning streak to six and is 22-2 since February 1.
Wembanyama wowed the Miami base with a steady 26 points, 14 rebounds and five blocks in 26 minutes of work.
Stephon Castle returned from a two-game absence due to hip soreness with 19 points, seven rebounds and six assists. De’Aaron Fox scored 14.
Nearly two weeks removed from his 83-point showing on March 10, Miami’s Bam Adebayo was limited to 20 points on five-of-17 shooting, his lowest total since achieving the feat.
The Spurs continue their three-game road trip visiting the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday.

The guys have been doing a lot better job of finding Wemby on lobs lately. The next step for Harper is getting more minutes with Wemby once they get more chemistry between them they will be the best duo in the league in a few years. GSG!
If Spurs are efficient on threes, they will be good.
Hopefully, the young guns will continue to be hungry in the playoffs.

Aside from this most compelling win against a good team, I think that Victor's take on the mvp race was both right and funny. In short, Vic wants to be both judge and party and set the criteria himself as to who deserves mvp, which I found funny.
That said, he is right about the facts that the defensive dimension of the mvp race is downplayed as well as the offensive actions that do not translate into points.
At the same time, this year, just like Victor's impact, SGA's impact on the best team in the West is tremendous, mostly offensively, yes, but in such a major fashion that you cannot cancel SGA. Personnally, I think that it would be very refreshing to see both Victor and SGA get the mvp together, recognizing that they are both exceptionally great in different ways.
