Is the Western Conference Finals ALREADY Decided?

Is the Western Conference Finals ALREADY Decided?

The San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder are dominating the NBA this season and playing their best basketball with the NBA Playoffs right around the corner. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Victor Wembanyama are playing at MVP levels, the supporting casts are elite, and teams like the Los Angeles Lakers, Denver Nuggets, Houston Rockets, and Minnesota Timberwolves have flaws that feel like might sink them. It feels like these two teams could be on a collision course for the Western Conference Finals and I don’t know if anyone can stop it.

  1. I would fully expect for the Thunder to this time around to allocate their best defenders at Victor if they do face each other in the playoffs. Caruso, Dort, and Hart will need to bombard him with physicality.

  2. I’ve said near the start of the year that spurs won’t make it to conference finals but everyday that goes by I’m taking it back more and more. They are an amazing team. But there’s been so many games where even with all of their best players they will lose to a bottom tier team or have a horrible night. Idk how it will go if we see them in conference finals but I’m all for it. So excited for playoffs and a strong finish to the season.

  3. @ three cone, the page with homers, 😂 the resistance to his opinions is off the charts. Like ppl can not resist the need to defend their teams.
Keep it up cone. But you might as well become a 100% biased and a full time discourse page and trigger the homers. The fights between homers would be fun to read. Let the games begin!

  4. Did you see Wembys postgame after the Heat game? Basically said that the Spurs are the Thunders daddy, and he’s right

  5. I agree that it will either be okc or the spurs. No team in the east is a real threat unless tatum suddenly comes fully back to form.

  6. I agree. Daigneault needs to make that move or at least play Mitchell more minutes than Dort. The coach should never be the reason why they lose.

  7. My take pre video:

The confrence finals are never ever decided until the last game is played in the semis. We thought that no one besides the Celtics or Cavs could make it in the east last year and that ended up being wrong.

  8. I do not find it so hard to wrap my head around Denver beating OKC. They almost did it last year, with a worse roster and with injuries. Of course theyhave a lot of question marks after a season with a lot of injuries. And weird performances. They are fit ho for the first time this season. Maybe they will not get it togetyer and then they have no chance against OKC, but to suggest that they have no chance against OKC in any circumstance is weird in imo.

  9. Spurs move the ball so well. No hesitancy and evryone hustles and play defense. OKC has edge on individual skills.

  10. the spurs will beat everyone and win the finals, only way they lose is if VW gets injured

  11. Wemby is absolutely right! If there's a DPOY (Defensive Player Of the Year), then the scoring champ should be the OPOY (Offensive Player Of the Year), NOT MVP.

To be MVP, you must be impactful on BOTH ends of the Court on a play-off bound teams. Tie breakers should then be the front-runners teams vs each other's record.
