POSTCAST- BAILEY BREAKOUT CONTINUES – Career High for Ace Bailey. Can he be elite shooter?

David Locke and Ron Boone bring you POSTCAST after every Jazz game

Utah Jazz fall to the Toronto Raptors as Ace Bailey explodes for a career-high 37 points on just 21 shots, flashing elite efficiency and confidence. Can Bailey’s offensive emergence reshape Utah’s future, or does the team’s thin roster mask deeper questions about sustainable success? With the Raptors racking up a franchise-record 49 assists, defense becomes a glaring concern for the Jazz.

David Locke and Ron Boone break down Bailey’s shot selection, growth under Coach Chad Forsier, and parallels to NBA stars like Paul George and Jayson Tatum. Key discussions include the shot distribution dilemma with Lauri Markkanen and Keyonte George, implications for next season’s rotation, and Bailey’s potential to join the league’s elite shooters. The episode wraps with a look at Utah’s player development challenges, the pressure on young talent, and what Bailey’s rise means for the Jazz’s playoff ambitions.

  1. I'd like to know who is teaching these young guys NBA level defense. The year before Hardy arrived, the Jazz had the 10th best defense, then, in the subsequent (or the Hardy) years, the Jazz ranked 23rd, 30th, 30th, and 29th so far this season. The Jazz will not get very far in any playoff matchup unless something dramatically changes.

  2. Fun stuff. You need to use the European method of signifying "three." The Ace-patented hand signals include the thumb, first, and second fingers. The same way you'd order 3 drinks for a table of friends in a German Gasthof.

  3. The NBA is so broken. Fans are happy that their team is losing. Do people see anything wrong with this? It is ruining the NBA.
