Stats are the reason people can't see Manu past a 6th man role player when in fact he could have had his own team. He proved it in the Olympics but people ignore that stat. Wemby would be EVERYONE'S pick if they had to choose one to build around or head into the playoffs, THIS YEAR! That sounds pretty valuable to me!
What I am amazed at is the potential game changing four point or five point swing he creates with most of his blocked shots. He snuffs out a potential game changing shot that would otherwise cut into a Spurs lead or further extend a lead against the Spurs, by pining the shot against the glass, grabbing the rebound and starting a fast break going the other way. It has to be devastating and disheartening!

As a Spurs fan, I won’t be mad if SGA, Luka, or Wemby is the MVP of the league. I think all 3 have deserved it this season. Would also include Jokic in the convo as well.
1st Team All NBA for me would be Luka, SGA, Jaylen Brown, Wemby, Jokic.
People want to see Wemby in the playoffs before giving him the crown. Fair enough I say, get the popcorn ready for playoffs then because Wemby and Spurs are going to show everybody they are HERE ! 😤
Speaking of Magic, CC has that, that vision and genius to create when the rest of us don’t see it. As far as Wemby is concerned he wants the spotlight, and is willing to put in the work. Been a Spur fan since they got to SA, knew we had a champion in Duncan’s first playoff series, and I see it in Wemby. Can’t wait for the playoffs

Very good analysis of Wemby on your part. He's so much more than the stat sheet shows even though the stats are impressive.
