  1. Wemby is not my favorite at all, but he definitely cares, which is great. But he’s a flopper, not ethical.

  2. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Vince tried to do the 'I don't like it…….' but ESPN so awkward he couldn't even get it out

  3. SGA won MVP last year because he was a better defender than Jokic and OKC has better team success. Wemby is the best defender in the league by a mile. Spurs has already won 20 more games than last year. OKC has already lost one more game than last year. Spurs are 4-1 against OKC this season. OKC was 24-1 then. Spurs gave them lose number 2, 4 and 5 in a span of 2 weeks. Net rating Wemby 1 at 16.6 and SGA 2 at 14 9. So yeah Wemby should be MVP

  4. Why on earth are we making a news story out of lebron not scoring in the first half? It feels funny to bring up a pebble like this when we dont do it for every other player.

  5. Not he taking Brous line, I don't like it. I love it. Lol!! First Things First best sports show on

  6. alright, I wasn't so sure, but now after watching this clip, Monica is just a hater on the spurs and wemby. She has never sided on the spur in any discussion they have. When you come up with dumb excuses like them beating OKC in the regular season is just the regular season, when the MVP is all about the freaking regular season, now you're just trying to come up with any excuse not to give wemby credit.

  7. Spurs caught OKC in a slump and have convinced themselves that they’re better. I really want to see them matchup in the playoffs man and just see who the king of the jungle is?

  8. Theres a lot to say.

    1. I dont think its fair to take defense out the mvp award because we have a dpoy… we call have scoring leader and assist leader awards so the point becomes mute.
    2. MVP is at its core an impact award and we have seen a lot of great teams with great offense only players win it because there offense is just so much it makes up for lack of defense. Now we are seeing victor with such dominearing defence that even with all the games missed fhe last 2 seasons he still runs away with blocks compared to people who play a full season. We have announcers calling out the "wemby" affect where players will not shoot close range shots and that does not show up on the stat sheet. So victors defense has such magnitude that he is in mvp discussions for it. The question is is it enough to get him mvp and thats a personal opinion.
    3. The thunder also won majority of the games without shai so thats null.
    4. Victor plays under 30 minutes and like 55 on the the minutes list while shai is like 10 or 11. So its not crazy that he is only at 24 points and q4th in the league at scoring. I dont think we can translate more time to more points in a formula, but it would be more.
    5. I disagree with the long list of players better than victor on offense. Victor is the most well rounded guy 7 foot and above (im saying kd is 6'11 lol) that said, when he is in the post, its automatic dunks and above the rim finger rolls. He shoots the three at a rate that is better than most the people listed with a frequency that is compariable is not higher. Given the spurs system being team ball instead of a one-two punch that dishes for assist. Its not his fault he isnt getting more assist.
    6. We go back to that question of "if you could draft any nba player today" and ill add on " and keep them at their current state for 10 years, i think unless you are confident you will be able to build out a roster that compliments the player, everyone should pick wemby. He IS you defense and he is also an offensive player that plays majority of the game without getting the ball as much as the other people listed i the discussion.

  9. Not to mention Shai hasn’t had a game less than 20 points and almost 2 years Wemby this year alone has had multiple games with 17 points 18 points in 19 points. Go have a seat string bean.

  10. OKC will be a dynasty when, and only when, they win at least 3 chips in 5 years – Like the Spurs did 2003-2007

  11. 12:54 β€” When JDub is available, OKC is unbeatable?? Is this dude watching when the Spurs spank them and literally trash them at home
