It was clear the NBA did not want the Lakers to continue winning, especially after they bash them all year in the media. Usually, I don’t complain about calls, but they were blatant. A few players on the Lakers could’ve gotten hurt on a few plays because of the repeated no calls.
Any game on the road is a tough game in NBA SPECIALLY Against #1 in east.
Funny how Pistons are 1st in fouls commited yet yesterday they allowed them to play football. Rigged shit by the league, dealt with the same 💩 in Orlando. If that's OKC last night they get every call guaranteed.

Luka can score but looks what it takes to get his numbers
Shooting 30 shots per game only to make 30 points is not basketball.

If you are shooting poorly and you have teammates that are hot, you should not be taking 30 shots. Disaster that AR didn't get more attempts in the 4th that game

Lakers are cooking fellas. They were bound to lose at some point. I can live with the Pistons lol EDIT OH and Luka was hurt if anyone didn't notice. Something was bothering him as he didn't play for a long stretch at the end. As Jovan said last night, Marcus Smart was sorely missed. Vando great effort etc…

Lakers haters have to scratch and claw to cheer against the team but wont acknowledge it took a bad game from luka, refs being r***rds, and DJ having a career game to beat the lakers by 1 possession. We good in the west and are contenders. Maybe not as likely to win compared to the higher seeded teams but lakers can definitely make a run

Why is SGA considered a great 2 way player when Luka averages more steals, more defensive rebounds and the same amount of stocks as he does but is regarded as the worst defender in the league? Can you make it make sense..

I would say try to blow out the next 3 games don’t have the superstars take off. Let them play cut the minutes if it’s a blowout. We need to secure the 3rd spot first
Honestly I left this game kinda optimistic. The big 3 shot the ball terribly, Marcus and rui were out, the refs were egregious, Detroit was hot from 3, yet the lakers still fought and only lost by 3. Goes to show how much they’ve improved on the margins

The one thing everyone missed regarding JJ and the last play in the game. Maxi Kleber hasn’t played a single game in March. He didn’t play last night and he was subbed in the game to set that finals screen on Luka when you have Ayton, Hayes and vando on the bench. Luka couldn’t even get a shot cause maxi interfered with the pass. That’s terrible coaching playing someone who hasn’t seen the court in weeks in the last possession.

Luka was passed the ball at the end of a shot clock multiple times against pistons. He had to chuck up bad shots because of bad play before the shot. Kennard play is most obvious example he passed up a shot and Luka had hardly any time to beat the shot clock.
That was a game where Marcus gets a minimum 3 muck up plays that results in +3 possessions, and Luka’s last shot, he makes 60% of time, slightly lower than his game winning shot that previous game.
even if they didn’t have Cade, if we were to play a team like that in the playoffs we would definitely gameplan for them rather than just going heads up with them.. this team will lean more into iQ and execution with a team like this.
Regarding the bench it would be great in these coming games against tanking teams if we give minutes to adou, bufkin, Kleber.. see if they can be of use in the playoffs — adou, if he can be a better alternative than Jake or vando, bufkin, if he can be a POA defender when Marcus sits. And Kleber to get into rhythm. He’s the failsafe if Ayton and Hayes are not effective bigs and we gotta go small ball.
Jj is the new coach thibs, not trust his bench, running his star players into the ground before the playoffs. Not a recipe for success 😂 you need to play vando and maxi some minutes to offset this
Love the pod guys. One suggestion. Jason, turn the volume of your audio up so you can speak in the tone you naturally do, don't start speaking louder to just go lower as you speak. For me, and I can guess for a lot of people, we listen to podcasts in a lot of different scenarios and we can't just crank the volume all the way. Other than that, love the conversations, the dynamic. Keep up the good work. Go Lakers…….
