The Nets and Knicks haven't been good at the same time since 1994.
Would be a massive mistake to swing for a big trade when we're at the middle of a rebuild. Nets fans continue to fall into this failed loop of pressing the gas on a rebuild and it continuing to always hurt us

I like this direction, but I prefer to draft AND trade for a star.

The goal every year should be to make the playoffs. I believe with some draft luck and a couple of solid free agents this team can win 45 games next year. In 2001 we went from 26 wins to 52! In 2018 they went from 28 wind to 42. The truth is that this year's team is not an 18 win team. If we had not been tanking we could easily have won 24 or 25 games. Getting to 45 wins is not that hard.
Great episode! I would love if the Nets signed Watson in the offseason. And as much as I like and respect Claxton, to hopefully trade him, and to get a center who can man the paint, whether it’s through another draft pick, or trade. The biggest mistake would be to trade for an aging star, especially someone like Giannis. That’s backwards IMO. If it was someone younger, who wasn’t as good, who fit the timeline better though, who happened to become available by chance, that’s much different.
