OKC Lost MORE than this Game…
The Oklahoma City (OKC) Thunder’s winning streak of a dozen games comes to a screeching halt against Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, and the Boston Celtics, 119-109 at the TD Garden. OKC may have led at halftime, but the game was destined to fall apart: the Thunder lost their identity in favor of playing on the Boston Celtics’ terms. The reigning MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (SGA) was his ever-effective self, but was only able to get 12 shots at the rim. As for the rest of the team, rough showings from Jalen Williams (JDub), Chet Holmgren, Isaiah Hartenstein, Alex Caruso, and more starkly contrasted the looks that Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Payton Pritchard received on Boston’s end. Gabriel Ebersole breaks down how both teams shot half of their attempts from behind the line, the spacing and pacing controlled by the Celtics, and how OKC finished the game grasping for answers to the puzzle of the Boston Celtics — a puzzle that remains unsolved, as OKC leaves the TD Garden with the loss.

Calm down, it is one game.,Sound like a child whining to grandma
We never took advantage of their so-so front court.
Btw there was a moment Jdub grabbed his hamstring again in the first half, really worry about that😢
Not making a prediction, kinda have a feeling the Celtics and Thunder are not going to rematch in the playoffs because of how important home field advantage is.
Spurs look like they have the easier schedule, who gets the number one seed coming down to the wire. Kinda do not get why Thunder are starting JDub at this time when they should be easing him back into the rotation especially against one of the best teams in the league the Boston Celtics.
Missed way too many open looks, i have a feeling we will end up being the 2 seed, our remaining schedule is insanely hard.
First time everyone is together. Rust. We won 12 in a row and lost a road against the best in the east. No worries 👍 Im excited to see what Nikola Topic does tomorrow night.
It's OK. A Loss is a learning lesson and OKC Thunder always works on their mistakes. They needed this L to remind them to not get ahead of themselves. Celtics and Spurs are the teams OKC haven't figured out yet. But SGA is a great student to the game. He can do his homework. The other players need to work on the weaknesses of the team as well. Hopefully the team figures out Boston and San Antonio before playoffs. We believe they can. They need that underdog energy. Now that they're champs, Underdog energy completely turn to GSW 2016 Cocky energy if that makes sense. Let's go Thunder! Remember the identity of the team.
This happened when jdub came back last time no? He hasnt been slotting in seamlessly and might take these last games to click. Otherwise i might be thinking we are better without him this season. Blasphemy i know.
I'm disgusted
Just wait til JT gets halfway back right, and C's get Vucevic back.
This is the kind of game that has ruined the NBA….a boring three point shooting contest. OKC was 12-37 and Boston was 18-41 and there's your game in a nutshell. I'm as big an OKC fan as anybody but this game was just so boring and predictable and I figured it would be. That being said Boston isn't doing anything in the playoffs. They are too one dimensional and reliant on threes and while they shot 45% on threes in this game which is why they beat us that's just not sustainable. The NBA needs to eliminate the corner three completely. Just stop the three point line where it makes its turn.
Calm down family. I understand the concern, but this was the 5th and final game of a road trip. It just looked like them boys was ready to get home. That was a tired game. Just reset, we beat them in 5 or 6 in the finals if that matchup happen. This same Boston team just lost to Minnesota with no Ant. We are good!
I think the starting lineup needs a tweak now that JDub is back. The floor does not open for SGA with Dort and Dub are on the wings. Consider replacing Dort with Joe and Ihart with J Will. Rotation minute increases for Mitchell and McCain.
Last time Caruso took a dozen 3s it wasn't a good game. It cannot be. They gotta stop trying to outshoot opponents from 3.
Start JWill and Joe. Let Jdub fill Dorts on ball defense role in the starting lineup. Mitchell, Dort, Mccain, IHart, Wallace primary second unit. Jwill deserves more minutes.
They better guard home court advantage for being best in league, it's guaranteed throughout the playoffs. They will not repeat as champs without it.
They were due for an L, even if they do fall to the second seed i still like the thunder’s chances. The only team they will realistically face without home court advantage is the spurs. Still like the thunder in 6 in that series. The path will be a little harder for the spurs because they will most likely play Denver or Minnesota in the second round 2 teams that have playoff experience and some tough matchups. Now that cade is out for a while i doubt the pistons make it to the finals, with that being said they could still have home court advantage in the finals in this scenario.
Why don't you talk about how the refs blatantly took the game over in the 3rd so that Boston could catch up? That game was horse shit.
Get over yourself. It was a loss. It happens.
