Now suddenly defense is so important after curry, jokic, westbrook and harden got mvps: when luka is avg 34ppg (1st) 8.5 apg (3rd) on 62%Ts and 8rpg (1st among point guards) and they have the 3rd seed, Luka is the CLEAR MVP wemby is not even top 15 in offense and sga not close the rebounder and playmkaer& passer luka is while avg less ppg haha😂and its not that luka isnt effective or impacting winning literallly top 4 in all generall advanced stats

I find it difficult to agree with anyone that says Shai deserves the MVP. The guy plays unethically. He has a great mid range and he’s the top scorer in his team. Wemby however does not play unethically. Plays through the toughness teams give. He isn’t always the top scorer because he doesn’t rely solely on offense. But he still manages to fill the stat sheet. He changes the game plan for teams. In my opinion Victor Wembanyama is the Most Valuable Player in the National Basketball Association. Simple.

Spurs also utterly dominated the top 4 teams and basically have the best record vs playoff teams. While okc have a pedestrian record vs playoff teams.

Disrespect Denver at your own peril. You’ve already tried to force Jokic into 4th place in the MVP. The defense will be fine in the playoffs. Our top defensive players were out for half the season (AG, Braun, Cam, Watson). This team is deeper then it was when they won the chip with the emergence of Watson as a 20-25ppg guy, THJ coming off the bench giving 15-25 nearly every night, and Cam shooting lights out like he hasn’t been all year.
I am a Spurs fan and I really hope Wemby wins MVP. But even if he does not win MVP, it may be the best thing that could happen to the Spurs insofar as their championship hopes are concerned. The playoffs will see a version of Wemby that would literally be wild.

Windy says everyone is looking for a reason to give Wemby the MVP. but it sounds more like they are looking for reasons not to give him the MVP. the #1 seed doesn't matter at all when you are this close, it's the same record especially when you factor in that OKC has lost to the Spurs that many times out of their total losses, and that Wemby has missed more games than Shai and Spurs have lost more when Wemby wasn't playing.
