How many players away are the Mavs from competence?
Flagg makes such a big difference not only bc he’s the best player on the team statistically, but also he brings energy to the team. But we have to get a perimeter defender next season.

Jokic is a unicorn. But Denver has at least is smart and runs basically all plays through him. He also shows you don’t have to be a volume 3 point shooter to avg 28 points.
They are a Kyrie away from be a real team.
I have no issues with this podcast for trying to promote Flagg for ROY. But to continue to say Flagg is so great, yet in clutch time, look at his stats over the last 2 mins of clutch games. Surely Flagg has hit numerous game winning shots? No or low key turnovers? Missed free throws? Missed wide open 3's? Not taking wide open 3's? But most importantly turnovers that simply turn the game? Crazy fouls that seal the W for the other team? The stats tell the whole story along with being 25 games under 500? Love the kid, he will be great, yes he is 19 yrs old. But he is 19 yrs old and right now simply not the player you say he is. But he will become that player over the next 2 to 3 years. In this game Flagg Missed 2 lay ups, a short jumper late in the game. Results another L. This team has talent. Has depth and no way should be a bottom 3 team in the West.
Don’t mention Lively – he doesn’t impact the Mavs – expect for being injured almost everytime. Trade him or send him home

When the Mavs hit 3s they can compete. Adding consistent 3 point takers and makers is a must this off-season
Max Christie hasn’t impressed me too much on offense this year. IMO he was at his best right after the trade when he was paired with Kyrie before the ACL tear.
I’m telling you when Kyrie comes back next year and (around Christmas time) when he truly rounds to form, everyone (Coop, Max, Peterson) will truly shine.

Lukas record was 29-44 and we became a playoff team the next year without any good moves or draft picks. If we have a competent front office, I hell it eve they have the potential to build something special THIS year. Kai is 34, with zero pics next year . We GOTTA get this right
