Swaggy literally said he’s not trading his young piece for an older guy and Mccants says he would. Then jaylens playoff stats are read and then Swaggy says he’s young and still keeping him and the. people keep on forgetting that most of the league got some improvement since last year. Then there is the case of them getting defedend better this year because they got KD and had a good result last year. add the lack of a PG and adjustments, the team wouldn't get better results. As for Phoenix, they were lacking depth and had a dead weight in Bradley Beal.

Well I think comparing teams from years sometimes can be dumb because the league changes ever year people age etc players get better teams get better etc .
the Rockets atleast should try and sign Chris Paul in the deadline after the Clippers let him go if they didn't want to make a trade, atleast it can help them until end of season .. i mean its clearly they miss someone who can run offense, Sengun can handle it somehow but he ain't Jokic.
This is a dumbass conversation. This years Rockets team is HURT! All knowledgeable NBA views knew Fred Vanfleet their starting PG was a major blow. KD is getting doubled and triple teamed every game. And no Steven Adams, their best defense presence in the paint. I would agree with Brandon and Mcants if this team was 100% healthy and they were 6th in the standings.

Jalyn Green was never gonna be that guy. Every good player steps up in someway during the playoffs. And he just was not capable of doing that. It was not a matter of experience, it was a matter of basketball IQ and feel for the game. And he’s simply lacking in that and will never be more than a sixth man offensive Spark à la Jamal Crawford or Lou Williams.
The loss of Dillon Brooks was the most devastating and expensive piece to the KD trade. FVV and his absence cannot be overstated. And then the offensive rebounding of Steven Adams was another major blow.

Dillon Brooks and Fred VV Worth, the foundation of the Rockets rebuild and turnaround with Udoka. One being traded away and the other being out for the season was devastating. Sengun is great, but this is a guard driven league. And unfortunately Sengun’s success depended heavily on having a point guard who could get him the ball in his spots. The exact same can be set for KD. Raphael Stone, the general manager of the Houston Rockets slipped up by openly stating that they already consider this season a wash.
They are missing 2 major players…
