The Raptors’ Biggest Problem Is Showing Again

The Toronto Raptors have spent most of the season comfortably in a top 6 spot in the Eastern Conference, but that comfort is starting to disappear. After a rough stretch of games, the question has to be asked… what’s actually going wrong, and could this team be in danger of slipping out of the playoffs?

In this video, we break down what’s changed for the Raptors over the last few weeks. From a defense that’s starting to fall apart, to an offense that has struggled all season and completely collapses in the 4th quarter, this team is becoming increasingly difficult to trust. The effort, execution, and identity that defined them earlier in the year just hasn’t been there consistently, and it’s starting to show in a big way.

We also take a closer look at the bigger issues behind it all, including roster construction, lack of shooting, and how much pressure that puts on their defense to be nearly perfect every night. With a tight playoff race in the East and key games coming up, there’s very little margin for error left.

The Raptors have shown they’re capable of beating good teams, but they’ve also shown how quickly things can fall apart. Now, with the season winding down, every game matters—and if they’re not careful, this could slip away from them.

  1. deep draft coming next I rather tank the rest of the year to get a mvp type player the raptors have 3 robins no batman

  2. My theory is if we get 10 seed that’s actually good. We can still get playoff experience as well and have decent odds in draft lottery I believe. I don’t know if you guys are paying attention to the next draft class…rules will change very soon as well towards the draft and tanking so we might as well take advantage of the opportunity.

  3. Brandon Ingram need to get to the rim more he proved he can and he needs to work on his handle this offseason

  4. This is the most fraudulent 5th seed. They can't shoot they can't defend the perimeter and we don't have legit centers other than poetl. They suck in the 4th quarter. They need to miss the playoffs and get a high draft pick for the 2026 NBA draft

  5. It’s been time. We’re slipping out of the top 6 for sure. They always get my hopes up….
We can’t score, we can’t shoot, our offence is meh,😊 and our bench is Mid.

The Hawks who jumped above us I would say a miles better than the raptors and much more fun to watch. And the Sixers are next. We had a good run boys

  6. I feel like they just dont put effort in games we need idk what it is things need to be changed huge pffseason incoming for sure but playoff hopes r still in the rise

  7. Your take about the Raps needing to "back it up" is spot on!! This team is sputtering right now they need to right the ship and turn this around pretty fast!! I also said this remaining schedule isnt as easy as everyone has made it out to be

  8. Offense consists of set a screen and then freestyle, using Ingram as a shot clock bail out. It's a Darko problem. After the filthy Shead crossover (RIP those ankles) him saying it wasn't a big deal and at the same time the majority of the fanbase said it was too little of a response for what happened. Lack of grit or like most are saying no dogs on the team.
Scottie is the most clutch guy on our team, needs the ball in those moments. I'd also like to see Scottie be more aggressive in the post, he's pretty dominant, getting at him looking to score over pass all the time.
Can we move on from Garrett Temple now ffs, he's obviously not what he was for us anymore, he ain't leading sh*t. I forget he's on the team half the time. Pull Mac McClung from the GLeague for that price. 🙃

  9. Nothing has really changed. They are firmly a mid team. They will either be a play-in or low playoff team, their absolute ceiling is first round playoff exit.

    Nothing has really changed.

  10. When your star player is a selfish ball hogger and dates a damn rapper…this is what you get. It starts with the leader of the team and he's no leader
