We’re at that part of the year where people forget about Hardens annual playoff collapses and start to try to make this argument only for Harden to fall flat on his face every April. It’s a cycle that will never stops until he retires it’s a ridiculous argument. You can’t be the third greatest at anything in a sport with 0 rings.

Tobin going HAM. Look, Wade's the better player but Harden's going to go down as more influential. He changed the league with his gather step. Wade needs to COPE. Wembanyama will probably pass Wade too so he's going to fall. Curry passed him. Others will too.

James Harden routinely played with rosters far more talented than the pre-big 3 rosters D-Wade played on. Wade took a team past a powerhouse Pacers, the behemoth that were the early to mid-2000s Pistons, and the Mavericks to a title despite starting the finals down 2-0 with a team that was very much old and nowhere near some of those Rockets' squads that routinely challenged the 2017-2019 Warriors.
There IS no comparison. Harden is a regular-season stat padder; D-Wade was a TEAM RISER who only got better as the playoffs went on. Harden is also a traffic cone on the defensive end. DEFENSE MATTERS, and you can't simply pick and choose when it matters and when it doesn't.
Shaq was very important to this franchise, but the Heat do not get past the Pacers or the Pistons (the same Pistons that beat the Lakers in the finals back in 2004, btw) without D-Wade. Shaq couldn't power through those two squads; D-Wade was their kryptonite (and literally the reason why we've had such an intense rivalry with both franchises that pre-dates the big-3 era). Legacies are made in the playoffs. Is a title a team accomplishment? Yes, but it's a team game; team accomplishments are LITERALLY THE POINT. Team accomplishments ARE player accomplishments and your legacy in a team sport; otherwise, there's no point in playing on a squad.
