An assist in soccer and hockey is counted for the player who last touched the ball or made the pass to score regardless of how long they then dribble or hold the ball or puck afterwards i don’t get why it’s not the same in basketball, like why is there an arbitrary time/dribble rule no matter what some assists are more valuable then others but it’s still an assist in my mind idk.
