  1. If Utah can beat the suns someway somehow watch out the blazers will catch them in standings only 3.5 back and Portland has momentum suns can’t stop the bleeding lost 6of 7

  2. Any insight on Love being active and playing minutes? Can’t remember the details but he was very close to the game limit as I recall. Why spend it on this game vs the other 2-way guys?

  3. It was interesting to see three non-starting point-guards all trying to show out in this game — Scoot Henderson, Blake Wesley, and Caleb Love. Scott definitely showed out, and it was great to see him have the space to get back into form. Though he has learned to get-in-where-he-fits-in playing off-ball, his post-game interview emphasizing how he has always been a point-guard and how the team had too many turnovers and needs to improve that (in a game where he had ZERO turn overs, and Holiday had 3 and Avdija had 4 in essentially equal minutes) seemed like a statement. He struck the balance well, reminding us who the expected starting PG for the Blazers was going to be before his pre-season injury. (He also only had only 1 foul while playing high-effort, hustle defense this game, which was great to see!) <> For his part, Blake Wesley really rushed and forced shots, and Caleb Love just looked like a guy too eager and desperate to show out in hopes of getting an off-season offer from somebody, definitely trying to do too much after a hiatus of playing time. <> While I felt a little bad for Wesley and worse still for Love, I do have to give them props for at least bringing some energy late in the game. I actually liked the way Love joined "Rip-Sidy" in suffocating Gary Trent's sassy, salty spice in the 2nd half. Even though it all came across as a bit sophomoric, it seemed like the young fellas' energetic contribution to the overall more assertive, locked-in, toughened ramp-up-to-the-playoffs tone that the team is demonstrating. I really hope they can seize this late season momentum and finally having a mostly healthy roster (knocking wood as I type) to make some noise in the play-in and then the playoffs… If they can take that momentum plus whatever the new ownership can add into the mix, and then we get back Dame and a healthy, deep squad — WOOO WEEE! That'd be a recipe for Rip City Revival fo sho, fo sho!!
