The Toronto Raptors walked into Sunday’s must-win game against Orlando in dire need of a win. With IQ and Jamison Battle already ruled out, the Raptors would be without their two best shooters. Before the game they realized they’d be down 2 likely starters in CMB and Ingram as well. With Barrett already hobbled, it was up to everyone else to pick up the slack… what happened next is the stuff of myths and legends. I can’t believe what I watched.

RJ great game! Scottie great game! Whole team great game! Lawson should be up with the big team, he's shown enough flashes and is a spark plug scorer way down the bench. Looking forward to the next two weeks worth of important games.
Honestly if we can surround Scottie with better 3pt shooting, he may not even need to increase usage by that much to avg near double digit assists

I felt the matrix shift when Jack was complimentary of sb and declared him a pg on the broadcast! (TWICE)π. Point Scottie team ball is what I want to watch. They better not revert to that goofy extra dribbling crap again!
Rob was right all along and Jack & Matt finally confirmed it tonight. Scottie is the PG on this team & most of this teams offense should be run by him.
However, they also correctly noted that Scottie's offense & performances like tonight have to be much more consistent & not just occasional.
This was just one game & we need Scottie to perform like this or even better in the playoffs, if he does then im sure he will finally get the credit he deserves from some U.S. fans & media like Players Choice.
Rob is also right in saying that there should be no more iso ball from B.I & R.J, the ball needs to move. If Scottie is going to be the leader of this team he has to hold himself & others more accountable. As this teams leader If he sees his team mates playing the wrong way he needs to speak up.
The only question is whether the Raps & Scottie Barnes are going to be consistent & bring the same energy against Detroit next game or is this just a one off & are things going to go back to the way they were?
AJ Lawson although not the most consistent is needed on this team. We should hold on to him before we lose him.

Also question… I realize that BI doesn't play quite as fast as Scott may want to play… Is it possible that Scott and BI can find a balance while they are together?
I am very much CERTAIN that Scott having the ball to initiate will boost Ingram's game as well cause he will get easier shots from the results of Scott's vision.

Great game by everyone. Rj moves well when there's more ball movement & less selfishness on the floor. Finally, if this doesn't convince the fans or IQ that Scottie Barnes should be running point guard, nothing will. This also why I feel a little confident foe the playoffs since we seen what Scottie is like when he takes over. We also seen playoff BI so hoping to see that too

Speaking of Jack and Matty. I am so tired of listrning yo them. Matty just keeps repeating weird stats as if it makes him look smart. They tell stories about everythibg from ice cream to Jack's coavhing days. They go long stretches without calling the game. How many fouls on Yak? Who knows? During play they throw the camera on coaches, bench players to go with the story. So frustrating, so disrespectful. All this to say, Scottie and Raps deserve better. Passionate on point commentators, not this.

Because the Raptors have been so up and down since the AS break, I honestly didn't know which team would show up. I figured it would be too much to hope for to have another well orchestrated game twice in a row. Darko built a culture and a playing style (running & gunning) for the Raptors that is FINALLY being implemented as he designed it. Why? Scottie finally has his "Forrest Gump leg braces" removed and is free to execute Darko's vision by organizing the offence and putting all our flawed players in the best possible positions for them to succeed. Darko has forgotten more about BB than any of us know and he's around Scottie all the time. He has to have known (like most of Rob's audience) that putting Scottie at the point would work a helluva lot better than IQ. This epiphany reminded me of the movie "Moneyball". That scene where Billy Bean is arguing with the head coach to play the players the way Billy wanted them to play, but the stubborn coach kept on refusing thinking he knew better. Billy had to trade premier players in order for the coach to be forced to play the players as Billy had envisioned. Except in this case, I believe the Raptors FO is the coach and Darko is Billy Bean. It took the two players that were causing our offence to be out of the game and allowing Scottie to be our starting floor general. Scottie like Jokic fires the ball up court as fast as possible before our opponents' defence has a chance to properly get set. It's amazing how many easy shots are available when you have a man advantage and attacking. Last two games standout as having unusually high assists and fast break points–probably way more than any other two game stretch for us this season. If only BI and IQ could swallow their pride, and bend the knee to Scottie when they come back, this team could really make some noise in the Eastern Conference. If they can't, we need to trade their asses along with Gradey Dick–who sometimes plays so unbelievably bad–that he has me believing he's accepting bribes, and playing for our opponents by single-handedly tanking both our offence and defence. Go Raptors!!
