The mavs should be the best team on paper but in game they stink
KD, Harden, LeBron … 3 players that will hurt your team and are not leaders.
One said HIMSELF he isn't a leader, one IS the system, and the other flops and ghosts in the 4th while stat padding.
If you look at nba history, every dynasty was a super team. From the celtics in the 50s and 60s, to lakers/celtics in the 80s, the bulls in the 90s, the lakers and spurs in 2000s, to the warriors in the 2010s. I dont think super teams have stopped working, I think it's just harder to keep a super team for very long due to the changes in free agency and the cap, like the introduction of the second apron. I think the new reals mean we will see super teams pop up but only for 3 year spurts instead of teams keeping their core for 8-10 years. The celtics and thunder are great examples of this. The celtics put together a super team, led by JT and JB, and won a title. A year later, multiple pieces were shipped off and the team retooled. The Thunder currently have a super team. They will be able to keep the roster, as constructed, for maybe 3 more years before it will be broken up.
he said super teams hurt the nba, then said super teams don't work, then said they work here and there. He then listed a few teams he called super teams that didn't work but gave no arguments to support his statement that super teams hurt the nba. Where is his hot take?
