Shai Gilgeous-Alexander contributed a team-high 47 points to go with 5 rebounds 3 assists and 2 steals, with Ajay Mitchell of the Thunder adding an additional 14 points (4-10 FG) in the game. Paul Reed finished with a team-high 21 points along with 10 rebounds for the Pistons in the losing effort. The Thunder improve their record to 60-16 with the win, while the Pistons fall to 54-21 for the season.

We gave OKC a tight game and made them work for the win! It would have been bittersweet to get a W against them, especially with our two best players out, but the game could have gone either way because our bench and their bench were evenly matched. If we meet them in the Finals, we could take them to a seven game series and might edge them at the end.
I acknowledge much respect for the pistons, they played great even without some starters playing…..it’s EXACTLY the same way OKC played without any starters against San Antonio spurs and Damm near beat them on there home court..

Say what you want about sga and his ft attempts but there’s yet to be a team that can stop his step back he had 20+ using the same exact move and people are still saying Detroit defense is good. They need to go back to the drawing board along with every other nba team the only good defensive team who plays hard nosed defense is okc

SGA's FT count from last 3 games. VS Bulls he had 12FTs while the 5 starters from Bulls had 13FTs total. VS Knicks he had 16FTs while the whole Knicks had 17 total. VS Pistons he had 25FTs while Pistons had 23.

i've never seen sga get called for a push off before
1:53 remaining and SGA foul baits AT causing him to foul out is the reason pistons lost. No effective defender left to match up to SGA. Ausar should be more cautious in the crunch time especially on situations where only he and his twin can defend the opposing star player.
But when OKC rested 8 players against the Spurs and the bench kept it to single digits until the last minute in the 4th, everyone cheered for the Spurs while fully healthy.
GG okc that could have gone either way. We will meet again.

Sga been pushing off the whole game
They finally call an offensive foul on SGA for them push offs. That is the only way he can get a shot up. Short handed Pistons almost got the win. If SGA has to score most of the points then that is when games get away from OKC.
