One of the things I love about you guys is how free your conversation is. I am not saying you never hold back, but compared to academia, the way you put your opinions out there, and then sometimes, change them, and reverse them, in a matter of seconds, I just wish academia was more like that. Because it demonstrates a desire to get to some kind of truth, however imperfect. Which was why I was a little surprised that you never said anything about what happened with Jaden Ivey. Whether you agree with Ivey or not, the scandal presents an opportunity to get rid of Silver. Ivey, whether we agree with him or not, has a right to state his position. That is the joy and wonder and preciousness of America and American free speech. Ivey should not have been fired for stating his opinion. Mal and Joker, have never kept their faith a secret. Joker doesn't care about MVP, he knows he is MVP. Getting rid of Silver, however, and getting someone in there, who actually cares about the players, not to mention the game itself, and is not so obviously corrupted by China…would be a real win. Jussayin. Imagine if Joker and Lebron joined forces to get rid of Silver. That is a game I would love to watch. P.S. I'd rather you guys wear American sweatpants forever, than that crap from Quince. It is all made in China. As Trump famously said: "Chinah Chinah Chinah Chinah Chinah Chinah…Chinaaaaaaaah!"
We have backup ball handlers, for some reason DA refuses to play them as such. Pickett has yet to sub in for Jamal all year. That buyout guy has played but not really as a ball handler either. I don't get it🤷
Hearing Adelman referring to the playoffs as "the tournament" is like nails on a chalkboard. Your theory that it comes from Silver makes it even more nauseating. Thanks, fellas!
Jokic should be the runaway favorite for MVP this year. The reason why he isn't is because of his own bizarre play in clutch games this year. Against the Warriors and Knicks, 2 teams that he could have dominated in the paint, he shot 3 for 26 from 3. Both games were lost in overtime and neither team had a swarming defense like OKC where you can justify taking those attempts.
Then there are the 1 possession losses against Portland, San Antonio, and Cleveland where Jokic refuses to take shots and score. If he showed any aggression in those games, they're easy wins.
There are also losses where Jokic took WAAYYYY too long to start scoring like Dallas, both LA teams, and the most recent loss against Memphis. Instead of putting his stamp on those games early, he toyed with them and it was too difficult to complete the comebacks.
There is no reason why the Nuggets shouldn't have 55+ wins right now. If they did, Jokic would be the runaway favorite for MVP. His own curious play cost the MVP this year.
Yes, Jokic is still the best player on the planet but to be MVP you have to get the team to more wins. He has a great supporting cast this year, so I'm ok with no MVP considering the infuriating losses.

To be honest, I don't really mind Jokic not winning the MVP this year, but I'll be damned if they give it again to the shameless free throw merchant. I will always hate this player and what he represents in today's league.
as long as SGA doesnt win MVP, its all good for me, but lets be honest… Joker IS MVP. he most likely wont win it, but he is MVP
What killed Joker this year was his abnormal turnover ratio… plus flopping
Adam, talk some sense into your guy Jason over at Hoops Tonight who just said that "Jokic hasn't been nearly as good as Luka" since his injury.
Jokic in February: 26/14/10 with 1 block and 2 steals per game and 47/31/77 shooting splits.
Luka in February: 27/7/8 with 1 block and 1 steal per game and 44/41/74 shooting.
Jokic in March: 26/14/12/1/2 on 58/33/83 shooting
Luka in March: 37/8/7/1/2 on 49/39/78 shooting.
It's genuinely incredible that Luka is averaging 37 ppg (on 26 shots) but it's like they don't understand that Jokic's 5 extra assists per game are also at least 10 points of offensive production from him. Not to mention that when Jokic takes 25 shots, he averages about 35 ppg too.
It's just crazy to me how Jokic is having the best season of his career and he's FOURTH in the MVP race.
It doesnt matter anymore if we win all games till the end – Jok wont be MVP…
Thats shame…. he had greatest 32 games in league history before the injury….
