  1. French part.

Journalist: Victor, to talk a little bit about defense, we get the impression from your play on the court and your comments that you're bringing defense back into fashion, you're even making it almost cool. Is that one of your goals, perhaps to encourage fans and even some players to play more defense and find this aspect of the game interesting and enjoyable?

Victor: I think that's partly true, yes, but I also think that in the NBA there's no shortage of it, and all the great teams… it's an exception when a team that isn't in the top 10 defensively goes far in the playoffs. I think the only exception was Denver in 2023, but I think it's something that could potentially be more appreciated by the public, and if I play a role in that, even better. Thank you.

  2. Chief Vic did some of his tomahawk dunks so that Chicago could understand who is America's (basketball) chief. French cooking recipe by our national (peace and love) chef (I am French)

  3. 0.50 secs!!! Whatever it takes!!! It’s going to be one Hell of a Playoff Run! Get yo Popcorn ready!!! Go Spurs Go!!!

  4. I love that he takes time to consider his answers and gives thought about how he words his answers. That seems exactly the kind of guy Jokic was shocked to see show up to an all-star game with a book to read.

  5. 1:05 response is a very interesting insight into wemby’s mindset. He has been indirectly creating so much great offense for the spurs over the last couple months as they’ve been on this 25-2 run, despite his scoring/attempts going down some over this stretch. His gravity as a roll man is just immense and the spurs have been feasting behind the arc and off cuts because of it, while he’s simultaneously been completely dominant defensively (born out by his absurdly good O/DRTG, on/off and plus minus stats. And you also can see almost all Vic’s teammates’ 3p% improving significantly with him on the floor too).

So it’s kinda curious that he came into the game feeling beforehand like he needed to switch things up and shift the balance of his impact more towards direct offense again given how well they’ve been rolling. It sounds like he’s a little unsatisfied with something. Maybe about the MVP? It seems to tie in to the ‘there’s more to offense than scoring’ and ‘defense is 50% of the game comments’: the media just not understanding his impact when they’re skimming box scores, so maybe aligning his game more toward them down the stretch. Idk he just seemed sad when he said 1:50 that he’ll keep rolling and creating the best shots for the team, that it’s okay if he doesn’t get the ball. Cause he has this great all around game that doesn’t get utilized or appreciated when he’s playing more as the roll man and teams are trying to just overload and deny him the ball? Could be misreading the tone/situation though.

  6. @SPURS "EVERYONE STOP PLAYING WITH HIS LAST NAME AND ABBREVIATING IT….. IT'S ALMOST THE SAME AS A 'PET NAME' REFERRING TO HIM AS 'WEMBY'. JUST CALL HIM 'THE VICTOR' OR 'VICTOR' [SAME THING AS 'THE VICTOR']."🏴‍☠️😎🏴‍☠️

  7. Wemby you are playing great fing basketball right now it’s all effortless cause you are using your IQ more than your skill set you have the mind of a champion kid. Free throw line down you are unstoppable. Triple threat face up post your unstoppable keep leaning on your strengths. And work on cardio on off days playoff basketball is exhausting
