Well this turned into a mini San Antonio Spurs check-in…
The only team I worry about other than OKC is Minnesota healthy. Like the Knicks they have a lot of big guys to run at Wemby and our guards. And Ant can literally go supernova at any moment and did it in 2/3 games he played the Spurs. I really hope they end up in the 4/5 vs the 6 seed

As a spurs fan I would rather see the clippers in the first round than the suns for the same reason yall mentioned why the warriors gave us fits good 3pt shooting teams smh

Spurs fan.. spurs should win in 5 vs suns or in 6 vs clippers. Get that first taste of playoffs off the way then most likely the lakers next. If the lakers come in hot especially luka can carry them into a 7 game series. And in a win or go home game 7 lakers experience can matter. In a game 7 at home the spurs will feel the pressure and lakers playing loose with underdog mentality can win. So the only player I have concerns in playoffs is luka because he did eliminate the thunder when they first went to the playoffs a couple of years ago. So obviously if spurs play their game and hit 3s and limit luka on offense and tire him on defense then they should win in 6. Then If they make it to the conference finals vs thunder I like our chances matchup wise. Every playoff round will prepare them for the next round and they will play better. They will need some luck (big shots+health) to win championship just like any team in nba history. Iam going to enjoy the journey because I know wemby is "him" just like duncan when he needed to carry the team he never folded. Wemby will not allow himself or the team to lose 4 out of 7 without emptying the clip. It's going to take tremendous performance and some lucky bounces to eliminate these team. Kind of what happened in 2006 mavs vs spurs game 7 series. Dirk,duncan duel overtime. A couple of plays on defense was the difference. Obviously next year they should be the co favorites to win championship but these year is about going through the journey and playing with house money. Thunder have the pressure to repeat so spurs should play fast and loose in playoffs.
I think Wemby just answers to the talk about his minutes, he doesn’t need to play 35 to score 40. He can score if the team chooses him to score. Just watch the games, there are always multiple options for a good shot when Wemby touches the paint.

Even though the Knicks beat the Spurs twice this season; I didn't feel that they are better than the Spurs. Not even close. Curry and Kawhi are two players that could cause problems but not enough in a series. Spurs vs Boston in the Finals.
Something I noticed last night is we'd go on stretches where we'd look utterly dominant, seemingly about to shut the game down and win by 40, and it was always when we were just shamelessly feeding wemby. And when we were trying to move the ball around, not make it wemby-centric, we were losing those minutes consistently. It seems to go against the idea of spurs basketball, but maybe we'd just be better giving the ball to wemby and just asking him to make something happen more often than we already do lol
What's crazy is the Pistons were missing more and almost (and should have) beat a relatively healthy Thunder team! Duren looks dominant, I'm excited to see what happens when Cade comes back!

High efficiency 3point shooting teams are the spurs only threat. Nobody is going to beat them in the paint. Their defensive scheme pushes shots to the 3 point line, if that's what the opposing team is good at, it forces adjustments on the spurs end which being young, causes difficulty.
