cb buckner getting owned is something baseball fans have been asking for for YEARS.
Korean baseball does it even better, homeplate ump doesnt even make calls himself, a guy in a booth monitoring ABS just tells him if its a strike or ball.
The only people complaining about ABS are the Umps, gamblers, and people who dont actually follow baseball until the post season.
The solution is easy: if it comes down to millimeters, the call doesn't get automatically overturned. The ABS only comes into effect in the egregious cases, and the game still gets called according to a human eye in the rest of the cases.

The idea that you need to beat your own season from last year to be considered for mvp is so stupid. Jokic from last year isn’t in the running for mvp this year so why are you comparing him to jokic from this year? Honestly all the criteria around this award is so pathetically American. Baseball wide umpire “discretionary zone” around the actual “strike zone” if it’s an “actual ball” but the pitch went through the “discretionary zone” and the ump calls it a strike, it’s a strike. Get it off your shoulders. If the pitch is wider than the “discretionary zone” and it’s called a strike. Ok then now that’s a ball. Flip it for balls. If it’s 3-1 and the ump calls it a ball, but it’s in the “discretionary zone” then it’s a ball. Tighten ur shot group, throw pitches in the spirit of competition, or give free passes. What you’ll see it more aggressive batting. More hits, runs, strikeouts, home runs, and Fan=Revenue @mlb are you hiring?
