I have an honest Question
So the Hawks were unofficially doing a soft tank when they traded Trae and Porzingis. Those where both Tanking moves lets be honest.
They replaced 2 top 60 players/ All-Stars in the the NBA with none All-Star players. Then gave the team to JJ a 1st time All-Star.
Now that I have set the stage.
Dallas did the same thing trading away Anthony Davis and Kyrie being hurt. They gave the keys to Cooper Flagg.
Here is my question.
After Dallas makes all the trades to tank and right after that. Cooper Flagg took Dallas from the 10 seed in the Western Conference on a 13 game winning streak landed them at the 5th seed. Then Beat both of the Western Conference 1st and 2nd seeded teams in the same week. All while avg 23pts 8 assist and 10 rebs.
Would Cooper Flagg not be considered a top 10 player in the league? Would he not get some light MVP conersations and would Jason Kidd not get some light Coach of the yr talks?
If it was Dallas, Cooper Flagg and Jason Kidd doing what we are currently seeing the Hawks pull off. Would the NBA be going crazy about Flagg and Dallas or no?
