Cleveland Cavaliers CLINCH A PLAYOFF BERTH by beating the Golden State Warriors
Donovan Mitchell had 25 points and six rebounds, Max Strus’ 3-pointer with 54 seconds left helped seal it as he scored 24, and the Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Golden State Warriors 118-111 on Thursday night.
James Harden contributed 19 points and five assists as the Cavs won for the seventh time in nine games during a stretch playing five times in eight nights.
Gui Santos and Brandin Podziemski scored 25 points apiece for the Warriors, who were missing Stephen Curry for the 27th straight game but his return could come as soon as Sunday. He scrimmaged 5-on-5 for the third time in as many days to test his injured right knee that has sidelined him since Jan. 30.
Coach Steve Kerr said Curry and Vice President of Player Health and Performance Rick Celebrini might decide as soon as Friday based on how Curry feels a day later whether he can return to face the Rockets.
With 9:28 left, Cleveland’s Dennis Schroder made a hard foul from behind on a driving LJ Cryer and it was reviewed and ruled a Flagrant 1 for his leap and kick into the Warriors guard. Draymond Green was called for a technical on the play after he shoved Schroder while helping Cryer up from the floor. | https://www.espn.com/nba/recap/_/gameId/401810972

Cavs fans were to spoiled by LeBron for years in a weak east. I feel like it’s nothimg but negativity for this team and these players because of the expectation. The Cavs were never dealt a hand of easy cards to begin with to build up the roster to a winning team after being at the bottom for years after lebron is an accomplishment I mean it Cleveland for crying out loud it’s not like we’re Boston , or Oklahoma City or San Antonio for that matter. Cleveland sports is always a war
Watch the Cavs last night, they are in trouble. Molbey is awful, can handle any body pressure, physicality, and my god his hands are so bad on handling passes and he looks uncoordinated with no moves, Jarett is soooo much better than him. What you guys see in Mobley is beyond me. He will do zip against any team that pressures, him post him up, and takes it to him, he stands around and lets guards get rebounds. Last night against a pickup team he looked bad, our team also cannot guard against teams that run and moves the ball around fast going in and then out and then around. We are barely beating teams with bench players playing against us. Barley won last night, if we get by round one I be surprised the way they are playing.
If the Cavs lose to the hawks it would be apocalyptic lmaoo..bull super wrong
Cavs Daily channel here on YouTube actually know what we're talking about when it comes to Cavs and the NBA. Come check it out !
G Bush kws absolutely nothin bout bball – JB can fold up all he wants his squad won't an they hav far mo than jus ONE scorer 🤔 Cade,s been out fa lik w wks an the Pistons hav continued to win an still hav #1 seed in east – Cavs (my home squad) is soft as baby 💩 an prolly wouldn't get past either Celtics or Pistons if they met in eastern conference finals – if Max Strus dnt ball out in playoffs trade his a$$ in off-season this white kat is makin too much money not to be on the court more constantly on God – surprised ain't none of y'all talkin bout tht an why the hell is he still missing games after missin most the season 🤔🤔🤔 he's stealin money an needs to be called to carpet fa doin so js ✌🏾
Cavs have 3 major flaws that will hurt them in the playoffs.
1. Too many soft players (especially Mobley and Wade).
2. Careless when passing the balll.
3. Terrible at defending against the 3 point shot.
Atlanta will be a formidable opponent that could easily beat them. If they do get past Atlanta (which is not a given) the will lose in the second round.
This Cavs team has the potential to make it to the finals, but yet at the same time they really can lose in the first round I f they aren’t careful smh
Bull telling mike what he believe in is crazy work
I have gone back and forth on this subject but I will forever go with logic.
I have been "winner mindset" 100%, I completely get it… but in the end, it just doesn't matter. If you can position yourself to go further and increase your chances, you take it.
Remember, prior to the LeBron era we were NEVER in the playoff conversation let alone given a chance at a championship. Having a team that’s always in contention is kinda nice 👍
I’d rather the Cavs have a tougher 1st round so they don’t get too comfortable. We came out of destroying the Heat so bad and got wiped out by the Pacers.
