The reality with the Lakers is that they have defensive issues. Luka can't guard anyone elite offensively, so they switch him to someone else who they think is weaker. This creates mismatch issues on the floor, and they hunt Luka anyway. Add to that other players like Reeves, LaRavia, and Hayes, who aren't the best defenders either, and you have a team that won't be able to win a title, especially against loaded teams like OKC, or San Antonio. Let's not even get into Ayton losing interest because he thinks he should be the focal point of the offense.
It's only the Thunder and Spurs who can make it out the west unless either get injured
