Olympiacos got back to winning ways by beating ASVEL 74-82 on Friday night at LDLC Arena. A tight affair in the first quarter saw Olympiacos take a 24-25 edge heading into the second, where the visitors went on a 2-12 run to open a 39-47 lead at halftime. The hosts pushed back in the second half and held Olympiacos to just 14 points in third quarter, but the guests went on a 0-9 surge to open the fourth before sealing the outcome down the stretch.
Having grabbed only its second road victory in six games, Olympiacos joined Fenerbahce at the top of the standings with a 23-12 record. Meanwhile, bottom-placed ASVEL suffered its fifth consecutive loss, dropping to 8-27. Sasha Vezenkov led all scorers with 23 points and Donta Hall netted 14 off the bench. Melvin Ajinca drained 5 triples to finish the game on 17 points.
