Quick Recap of the Spurs Legendary Comeback: #nba

The Spurs have ended their longest NBA Playoff Drought in Franchise History. Talk about an NBA Comeback: They recently clinched a Playoff spot with 7 games left in the regular season, and the last time they made the playoffs was 6 seasons ago in 2019 When they lost in the 1st round after going 48-34. They are Currently 57-18.

Not counting that 6 season drought, the Spurs only missed the playoffs 4 times in franchise history since joining the NBA in 1977.

The seasons they missed the postseason were 1984, 1987, 1989, and 1997.

This was the first true Rebuild for the franchise, Yes, they always drafted their way to the top, but the concept of rebuilding is a specific term for Teams who consistently miss the playoffs.

In 2024 the Spurs went 34-48, So far this season they are 57-18, which is a win improvement of 23 games with a chance to bump this up to 30 games.

If Victor Wembanyama wins MVP this season, he will break Derrick Rose’s Record as the Youngest MVP in NBA history, and he would break Kareem’s Record for the Tallest MVP as Kareem stands at 7’2” and Wembanyama stands at roughly 7’5”

  1. Wemby also might be the first NBA MVP to average less than 30 minutes per game and still win the MVP 👽👽👽

  2. This is why I hope NBA teams take care of their young talent rather than blowing their teams up every 3-4 years for a declining superstar. I understand it sells tickets but come on now, you’re ruining your franchise.

  3. Should have used Robinson for 97 or Dominique to be funny and have another #21 player in the graphic.
