The Nuggets and Spurs played possibly the game of the year yesterday, while Denver was down a couple rotation players.
A lot of fans have written them off as contenders due to injuries and recent underperformances, but based on both this year and last, I don’t think its so wise to do so.

Jokics should be given more credit. He dropped 40/8/13 with 3 blocks and 0 turnovers vs a 7”5 defensive player of the year. Yea Wemby also had a good game but it against someone who a less then average defender. I’m not hating on Wemby but when u go around talking about how good a defender you are and praise ur defense on why ur a mvp but can’t stop Jokic with that defense then yea it does look different

What I liked about this game is that Jokic played some good defense, got some blocks but he also was much quicker on help defense, on regular season games he usually doesn't even get his hand up but today he demostrated he's a decent defender, obviously not a great one due to his lack of speed but a serviceable one due to his size and positioning. Must be the playoff vibes of this particular game.
2:50 bruce brown is shooting 39% from 3 on the year currently & has been playing well for the last 2 & a half months, healthy or not he’s pretty clearly in our rotation lineup
3:00 the only reason bruce wasn’t in was because he sprained his ankle
Spurs really need to be intentional about having Castle attacking down hill, Wemby rim running and finding Vassell and Champagnie on the perimeter đź‘€
Everything else is a win for the opposing defence

He’s not even that great of a defender to justify it either. Although to his credit, he’s been injured for like a majority of the year
This should tell all of basketball fans that it’s about having a good to bad day/your on your game and it was your day that’s how life works you have bad days and good days so no surprise that you can have a good game when shots just fall and some days they don’t.

Who’s gonna write off the Nuggets. They’re one of the three, MAYBE four teams that have a serious chance at winning a chip barring injuries
we were down 7-11 points most of the game because of the refs. It was a 2 point game at the end of the first quarter with momentum, then wemby slapped Jokic in the face, drew blood, and got 2 tech fts and a transition take foul out of it for a 5 point swing. It took all of our momentum just as Jokic was going to the bench. There was also Keldon elbowing Jokic in the throat on a putback, Wemby getting fts for what should have been called on the floor just for THJ to be in the act of shooting but called on the floor the next play, wemby opening the 3rd quarter fouling Jokic on a 3 with no call, braun getting fouled at the rim in transition that should have been an and 1, Wemby tugging Jokic's neck back not being reviewed for a flagrant, Jamal being bear hugged 100% of the game, castle fouling tf out of Jokic while trying to prevent an entry pass and a billion other stupid calls.
Nuggets didn't just overcome the spurs, they overcame the spurs, refs and injury luck
Wemby isn’t ready for bigger physical defenders. That’s why Minnesota and the Nuggets are the teams the Spurs would be better off avoiding this postseason

AG's defense was good on Wemby. He made him the game winner on OT and had him miss a shot in OT. Wemby is little. He cant handle strong.
