This might not be popular or it might be I don’t know. But here’s what I would do.
Keep Billy as the head coach or president of basketball operations, whichever one he wants. If he decides he doesn’t want to coach, then go get the best coach you possibly can and I would hire a certain man as an assistant coach. That man’s name is Michael Jordan.
The reason is because if it took a national embarrassment, turning into a political story to wake the front office up, then this organization needs a fire lit under them. It took that and not the decade and a half that the Bulls have spent losing basketball games. Would Michael Jordan ever tolerate that?
I would never hire him to make personnel decision decisions, but I think he could be an assistant coach if he wants to do that
