Yahoo Sports’ Kevin O’Connor dropped a 2-round NBA mock draft with the latest NBA Draft intel. O’Connor had Houston G Kingston Flemings dropping to the Heat with the 13th pick. Flemings is a quick guard that can defend, shoot, and facilitate. Virginia C Ugonna Onyenso was the selection for Miami with the 41st pick. Onyenso is a great rim-protecting big but doesn’t move well and is a bit uncoordinated. Kevin O’Connor Yahoo Sports Kingston Flemings scouting report:
“Flemings had a mixed week in Chicago. On one hand, he shot the hell out of the ball and was one of the best interviews with teams. On the other hand, he measured at only 6-3 and 183 pounds with a 6-4 wingspan. There will be a guard or two that slips out of the top 10 on draft night, and in this mock, it’s one of the smallest ones. He plays with surgical midrange touch, an explosive first step, and passing vision of a true point guard who can run an offense. The Heat have already shown the value of having a small guard cause havoc on defense with Davion Mitchell, and Flemings could end up even better offensively. So maybe if Flemings lands here, it could end up for the best.”

Yahoo Sports’ Kevin O’Connor’s scouting report on Ugonna Onyenso:
“Erik Spoelstra doesn’t seem to trust Kel’el Ware. Maybe Onyenso would earn it. The senior big bounced from Kentucky to Kansas State to Virginia, and finally found a home in Charlottesville where he turned into one of the most feared shot-blockers in college basketball. He had 21 blocks across three ACC tournament games, including nine against Cam Boozer in the championship. He lays a brick wall around the basket, though he has heavy feet when guarding on the perimeter and is still developing his offensive skill set. In Miami, he’d have Bam Adebayo by his side to protect him.”

No not another smallish guard please. We have Kasparas as our point guard. If we are moving on from Herro and Powell then an argument can be made that we need to draft a guard.
Rolly can you explain to everyone with common sense why would the Heat draft a guard when rebounding was our biggest downfall last season
Philon is at 7 for you? Jesus Christ.
You also wanted da Silva.. lmao
We need more forwards we got to many guards, we need a dawg smb that can rebound and Smb that’s athletic and who can give us fresh legs in the 4th when either bam or ware is out
This draft is so deep, it’s virtually impossible to be upset with our selection.
Pick 13 Pat said we need more length so Cam Carr it is.
Cameron Carr ✅✅✅
Look out for Isaiah Evans. 6'7" SG that plays defense, shoots 3s, and is very athletic. He's going to be a 2-way star if Spo gets him.
Let's get Carr
N
I’d Rather Take Cameron Carr At #13
cam carr and baba miller or trevon brazile in the 2nd round. we need this.
I don’t see them drafting a guard unless Kas is traded.
If Carr gets taken early, Karim Lopez seems like Spo guy…he's a Swiss army knife
I saw a scout say Carr is a good weak side defender, but his on ball defense is an atrocious, he gets blown a lot, I would go Philon or Flemmings.
I think the bucks take yaxel Lendeborg at 10 as giannis replacement.
Came Carr the only option !
Tbh flemming maybe the only ball guard I’d be okay with them getting.
I hope Aday Mara is available at 13. He's the only guy that's going to be able to stand toe to toe with Wemby if you want to win a championship in the future
Yaxel for me.
Could be Carr ,Philon but don't be surprised it's Swain the 6 8 slasher, defender, score, wing,..I don't know bout this Guard it's what the team see and feel in work outs,
6'3 with a 6'4 wingspan. He may end up a worse offender than Herro.
I don't kike Flemings, we already have a small guard with Davion Mitchell. I like Lendeborg. We need size! Enough of these small ball crap by Spo!
Why do we keep talking about drafting a small guard. We had enough of that with Herro and Powell. Then we have Davion and Kaz at PG. we need to get bigger and more athletic if anything
I have another idea and I hope the Heat front office would consider this idea. If they can’t trade for Giannis they should use those future picks to trade up in this year’s draft. Get an additional top 11-15 pick.
If a player like Flemmings falls to us, we have to take him. Taking a good player who fell down in the draft is what got us Jakucionis at 20.
