Atlanta Hawks Part 2: 2026 Mock Offseason | Third Apron Podcast

Brad Rowland joins the show again to discuss the Hawks’ mock offseason. We use ideas discussed in part 1 to put together a roster that maximizes the vast amount of spending power they have this offseason. Re-signing their own free agents, trading for a more expensive player, using the mid-level exception- – they can do it all this summer.

  1. Sam presti acquired the drafting right for player balsa koprovica ! These rights can be traded to make a deal when the thunder are capped in the 2 apron ! Sam presti is a genius ! He will renegotiate with Isaiah hartebstein and Lu Dort ! Other teams might get their picks this year or Kentish Williams 😅

  2. I believe Jonathan Kuminga is looking for a contract that guarantees him a starting role and real developmental investment. The Hawks aren’t getting that done by trying to keep him cheap on a team-friendly number. If he takes around $16M AAV, that’s basically accepting a high-end reserve role, and I just can’t see him viewing himself that way.

If things go sideways and he ends up waived or moved, keep an eye on the Sacramento Kings, Phoenix Suns, Los Angeles Clippers, and especially the Los Angeles Lakers. Those feel like teams that would gamble on his upside and give him a clearer runway.

  3. I don't think Kuminga will sign a lower averaged deal, he is finding a starter promise, or you don't sign or trade CJ something like that to make promise besides money? Does it worth? I don't know.

  4. JK is one of Top 3 players in HAWKs. if you want to sign 16M per year, are you creazy? 4 year 110 M is possible. less than this, i am sure he will leave
