  1. The Nets trading down from 6 feels more likely than people want to admit.
Too much smoke around this pick.
Brooklyn keeps getting linked to Nate Ament, but I don’t believe they need to take him at 6. His name has been connected to us too much for it to be nothing, but that does not mean he’s the pick at 6. That feels more like leverage than a lock.
Sacramento is sitting at 7 and the Darius Acuff Jr. smoke is loud. If the Kings really want him, Brooklyn can make them come up one spot and pay for it. That’s clean business.
Atlanta at 8 is another team to watch. Locked On Nets already floated them as a possible trade-down partner, and Atlanta has enough moving parts to either come up or move around depending on who falls.
Dallas at 9 is definitely in the business of trying to move up. They need guard help, and there’s been real noise around Mikel Brown Jr. If they think Brown, Acuff, or another lead guard won’t make it to 9, that phone call to Brooklyn makes sense.
That’s why pick 6 is valuable. Brooklyn doesn’t have to panic. They’re sitting right in front of Sacramento, Atlanta, and Dallas, and all three have reasons to move depending on how the board breaks.
So if the Nets like Nate Ament, Brayden Burries, or another player in that 7 to 10 range, the smart play is simple:
    Don’t reach at 6.
Make another team pay for urgency.

  2. The ONLY team Brooklyn should even consider REALISTICALLY trading back with is OKC who has the 12th and 17th picks to package together alongside a Isaiah Joe Aaron Wiggins or Ajay Mitchell which could be an enticing package for Brooklyn to consider 👀 🧐….

  3. I think your discounting the fact that you get Jimmy Butler he is going to rearing to go on an expiring contract. You can then flip Butler again at the trade deadline. So much more value there than just the expiring contract.

  4. Cason Wallace is a good young player but y’all are talking about trading for a small guard (6’2.5” barefoot) but don’t want to draft a small guard which I get the obvious reasons why…I can absolutely be missing it but do you see star potential in Cason Wallace? Because the PGs in our draft range has star potential do they not?

  5. A team devoid of ANY real talent entertaining trading down to draft what…. more untalented players! This front office and ownership need to go!
