Really depressing to hear you say that Mitchell will be on our team for the rest of his career. Nice player but that little guy always guesses out in the playoffs and no way is worth 70 million
Mitchell is a great player, BUT he does not have the endurance or tenacity to lead this team to a championship.
Also, the bench needs to be better developed to carry more of the load off of the starters shoulders during the long regular season.

your logic for keeping jaylon is literally the logic that makes Jarrett allen the better big over evan mobley. Jarrett is much more efficient and gets paid far less. No he doesnt guard 1s and 2s as well as evan but thats neither of their jobs in the first place and wouldnt be if we had a real small forward
I think other GMs calling are all going to ask about Tyson. As valuable as he is to the Cavs, this will still mean they might get some tantalizing offers.
Need a total rebuild this team is trash
The problem is that Donovan Mitchell is not a superstar. He is a borderline superstar, but not quite there. If the Cavs are to have a legitimate shot a championship, Mitchell needs to take that superstar ascension. The Cavs can't pay supermax money to a non superstar. That means they will essentially be trapped because they can't legitimately win a championship and they won't be able to trade him because he is on a supermax. Hopefully he makes that ascension, otherwise they will be stuck in the same situation that the Suns are in rn with Devin Booker
