The Golden State Warriors Are Making a MONSTER in Jonathan Kuminga

Jonathan Kuminga began his professional career on July 15, 2020, when he signed a one-year contract with the NBA G League Ignite. He made his debut, recording 19 points, four assists, and four rebounds in a 110–104 win over the Santa Cruz Warriors on February 10, 2021. He averaged 15.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game in that season. Later, Kuminga joined the Golden State Warriors after he was selected 7th overall in the 2021 NBA draft. After Kuminga got selected, many NBA fans started wondering about how he would fit in with the current stars of The Golden State Warriors and they were worried about his performance in his rookie year as the Warriors were not even able to qualify for the playoffs, let alone win it.
Today’s video will be about how the Golden State Warriors are creating a monster in Jonathan Kuminga and why he will be an upcoming star for them in the upcoming season.

Let’s keep rolling.
Kuminga is a work in progress; he is just 19 years old and a champion already. He is yet to maximize his potential and he will do so after playing alongside the splash brothers and other legends on the roster. Everyone should be expecting more and more of Kuminga as he will surely recreate the history of the NBA. “He is an athlete,” Wiggins said during his postgame interview with NBC Sports Bay Area. “He can jump out the gym; he is fast, strong as hell, he got it all, and today he showed up. He was aggressive towards the rim, hitting his shots and playing great defense. The sky is the limit for him.”
Kuminga’s Scoring ability is one of the main reasons why he will do pretty well this season. He has a great scoring sense and ability, and just last season, he averaged 9.3 points per game. However, he only played around 12 to 14 minutes per game in 70 out of the 82 games that the Warriors played in total.
Kuminga has an excellent efficiency of 9.3. Similarly, his high field goal percentage is another thing that proves his efficiency when compared to other NBA players. The main thing that matters on the Golden State roster is the three-point shooting. Kuminga has a three-point percentage of 33. Let us compare it with other shooters such as Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and even Andrew Wiggins. It is apparent that Kuminga is not a very strong three-point shooter compared to these three players on the Warriors roster. However, by comparing his percentage to the league average, you will get to know that Kuminga is not that bad. In fact, he is capable of improving those numbers as he progresses through his career.
Jonathan Kuminga also has a perfect body structure with a unique height and body weight. He stands at six foot eight and 210 pounds. Due to his incredible height, he plays extremely well in the forward position.

People frequently overlook Kuminga’s young age of 19. No doubt, we’re going to have a monster on the Warrior’s roster this upcoming season that will leave every team’s defense speechless.
Steph Curry is getting 48 million dollars, Andrew Wiggins is getting 33 million, Klay’s getting 40 million, and Draymond Green is getting 25 million at large. Green had one of the worst seasons if we talk about his stats last season, yet he is asking for a Max contract to resign with the Warriors over the next couple of years, and then you also have other players like James Wiseman.

Saving this money on Kuminga might be beneficial in a variety of ways. The Golden State Warriors may choose to sign another outstanding supporting player or a new star. Keeping Jonathan Kuminga for the next four seasons for less than $10 million is an unbelievable value. Jonathan Kuminga is definitely going to be able to find a contract elsewhere for at least $15 million.
The Golden State Warriors have a lot to be excited about, with their young roster seamlessly being integrated into the lineup as Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green slowly start to fall out of their primes. Kuminga is definitely going to be in the limelight this season as the Warriors and their fans have very high expectations for this young man as he continues on his NBA journey.
And what do you guys think? Will Kuminga be able to give an outstanding performance? Will he put up big numbers? I would love to hear your opinion, so please let me know what you think in the comments. Thanks for watching, and don’t forget to like and subscribe to our channel for more amazing NBA content!
