I know it’s only one play in a preseason game, but Ham has a lot of work cut out for him this season. I don’t think Westbrook is gonna change defensively imo.

I think there were morr possesions where he contested a shot than not with him.

Damn I didn’t even catch this when watching the game. He wasn’t that bad defensively last night, but this particular possession looks bad.

I more worried about how the whole fucking team doesn’t block out. Not one dude boxes out.
Same shit as last year.

Lebron also forgets about his man here lol. He has to close out to that shooter

Don’t fool yourself. Westbrook is 34 years old, that’s who he is. He won’t learn how to defend now.

Extremely cherry-picked clip. He played hard on defense last night. When watching that clip though, there is someone’s defense that is wayyyyy more egregious

I know it’s one game, but the team looked just like last year

Westbrook loses his man off ball, LeBron pretty much stands in one spot, nobody closes out on the open player with the ball, and none of the guards boxed out to get the long rebound. There’s multiple issues with this clip, it wasn’t just Westbrook plus he was playing solid on ball defense when he was in the game.

Lazy lazy lazy. I dont know how Ham is hyped with this guy. Offensively, this guy is on a decline while on defense, he’s been consistently bad.

You can’t just take 1 clip from the night and act like he didn’t try. He was out there going pretty hard on the defensive end and looked solid. Just because he gets beat on 1 play doesn’t mean he’s not trying.

This is more a communication issue than anything. That’s on Ham to review on tape but Russ didn’t do the wrong thing. The other guard that dropped and Russ should have communicated on who was going to tag the cutter so that whoevers left gets the top of the key.
BlackMasterDarkness
The amount of times Russ bit on a ball fake was crazy last night. You know that’s in every teams scouting report
