There has been nothing to indicate Poole changing his behavior?? He spent all summer traveling with his best friends and was constantly in the gym putting in work still (his bff is a photographer so we see a lot of workout photos).
He spent the entire Tokyo trip with his teammates, seemingly having fun. He went alone with Wiggins to a hedgehog thing, then went with Steph to a sumo wrestling place, participated in the 3pt contest and laughed around with Steph and Klay.
The person that was literally nowhere to be seen for most of the Tokyo trip was Draymond.
The team seems to enjoy JP a lot so trying to say that his ego got big is such bullshit. JP is naturally cocky and talks shit, something Draymond already knows.
