[More Patrick Williams: “At the end of the day, I’m just trying to win. I’m trying to win. I trust the coaching staff. I trust the front office that they want to win as well. So whatever decisions they want to make, that’s not on me. My job is to help the team win.”](https://twitter.com/codywesterlund/status/1578585867819565057?s=46&t=FAVYRJOVnRvoPwOkpEW3zw)
[PWil on reaction when Donovan told him: “When he told me, I was all for it. I think Javonte is a really good player, plays with a lot of energy. And I kind of saw where he was coming from in terms of him bringing energy to that first group. And I think it worked. We won.”](https://twitter.com/kcjhoop/status/1578589029137846276?s=46&t=FAVYRJOVnRvoPwOkpEW3zw)
Good attitude. Sometimes it takes tough love to get the best out of dudes.
Too passive to start
The bench rotation was awesome and Pat played well but part of me wishes it would’ve pissed him off just a little bit. “When he told me, I was all for it. I think Javonte is a really good player, plays with a lot of energy. And I kind of saw where he was coming from in terms of him bringing energy to that first group. And I think it worked. We won.” I understand he’s being diplomatic but his presumption that we won because the coaching staff made the right call to bench him and start Javonte doesn’t sit right with me. He’s so gifted. I want him to want it.
If Pat plays more aggressively with the second unit I’m all for it. If he is always playing with Zach, DeMar and Vooch it’s hard for him to be assertive. I liked that he got the ball and went down hill immediately a couple times this game. I’m interested to see how it goes next game.
