If Steph Curry had punched Jordan like that, we wouldn’t be hating nearly as much. Draymond is probably the most controversial player as is, so all this hate is coming from an already hateful place. Everyone’s comparing it to a general workplace, the idea that you can’t punch someone while you’re both at work, and while that’s true, it’s also not entirely the same, being an NBA player is not a normal job. And to put it into context, basketball is a contact sport, so stop comparing it to every other job. As far as I’m concerned what Draymond did was terrible, and there should be consequences, but I think it should be more along the lines of a fine, and not some kind of career ending or season ending punishment. Everyones overreacting and this shouldn’t affect his legacy.
