The nba has to suspended him for a decent amount of time. The Video is too damning. The nba can’t set a precedent that players can just physically assault each other with no repercussions. Plus the Warriors are Defending Champs and class of the league. Terrible precedent if he walks.
I dont think people should compare this situation with Bobby Portis punching Mirotic, IMO it’s more similar to Blake Griffin assaulting the teams equipment manager back in 2016.
In the Portis/Mirotic fight, Mirotic was the aggressor. Griffins vs the staffer on the other hand was very similar to Green/Poole in that they were talking/joking/arguing before one party assaulted the other party. Furthermore Griffin and Green both attacked much smaller individuals than themselves.
Strangely enough, Portis was suspended 8 games while Griffin only got 4 (though he did miss a bunch of games because he broke his hand in the assault).
Draymond should definitely be suspended IMO. Whether that includes opening night at the chase center isn’t really that important to me, I’m more interested if it’s going to be 8 games or 2 games.
IMO it should be 7-10 games.

What’s to decide? There’s no information to gather. Typical corporation putting the story out, letting the public chew on it for a week and then holding their finger to the wind to see what would make them look the best.
Perfect time to trade him. Solves the salary cap issue.
It could easily be argued this is worse than what happened in Boston. I have no confidence that GS will apply an adequate punishment to Draymond for this.

Glad the warriors are letting draymond green decide on what an appropriate punishment for draymond green is. So far paid vacation is the start. Need to feel it out and see where things are after that. Hard to say. I’m sure him and the warriors will find something that works for both sides.
