This game was really his swan song imo. The actual last game was sort of an encore/curtain call, but this one was the last time that we really saw him go pure Mamba imo.

What sort of ways could the Lakers have realistically improved on the old Pau and Kobe core without resorting to superteaming?

The way he willed the Lakers to that winning streak in 2013 pre inj is one of the greatest streaks I have seen

IMO, the 2012-13 season was peak Kobe and that LAL team was actually elite when healthy. None of that will be remembered bc they were all injured so much and were losing.
EDIT: For clarification, I was saying LAL proved to be in elite during the 2nd half of the season. They were both injured and “miscoached” in the 1st half of the season.

Vino season, might be my favorite Kobe season ever. He really put a team on his back and dragged them to the playoffs via pure will. Unfortunately cost him his achilles, and effectively his career :/
