Nick Nurse need to Recognize that this kat Dalano Banton play at a fast paste and that is good to make another work so we have to use strategy and match him with players who are ready to run so I see him Scottie Barnes, and Christian Koloko who also play fast off the stretch. These kat run these kats move. So I can see them tiring out other teams. I like it.
The synergy between Dalano and Precious Achiuwa is legitimately spectacular.
You read my mind. Last 2 weeks I was thinking Banton should be at the 2 and have a point gard with him.
I know it's been only preseason games but Scottie Barnes has been disappointed to me and Vanvleet has carried over his wacky play of the second half of last season to this preseason 😳…I'm disappointed in the team so far from what I saw during the rico Hines runs…
Playing for team Canada helped his confidence and he said something about being able to see the floor better. Happy for him.

Yup, Delano's got the touch. Wilson and Brown have hit their expire date, their shit stinks and its time clean house. Bo Cruz I think is salvageable. He isnt being used the right way yet and not getting the ball enough. I think he will impress soon.
I was at the game last night. The one thing that the television cameras don't catch is how defensively brilliant this team is. All the deflections, tips, interceptions, redirections, etc.. to see that in person is like damn.
My fear is that Flynn/Dowtin steal minutes from Banton’s development.

Banton has improved yes. Not quite sold on him yet. I like Downtin more still. Downtin is a better shooter IMO.
Dalano is safe for the 14th spot. Looks like the game is slowing down for him. He will have some ups and downs this season but he will be a terror next season because he should be bulkier by then. The 15th spot is still between Champagnie, Jackson and Wilson which is a tight race between Jackson and Wilson.
Precious has been a little off since coming back from his summer camp overseas. You can see it in the Rico runs but he will get back to form the more reps he gets.
I thinking D. Banton is going have a good year. He may start that jump as an NBA player. Next year is when the League will have to have a game plan for him coming off the bench. In my humble opinion.
Before his career is over? He will be a starting guard for the Raptors as early as this year
@chev khem birch, malachi flynn to jazz for nikeil alexander walker, clears up a roster spot to keep 3 out of the 4 guys, if they wanna cut ron harper jr they can give justin champagnie the 2 way contract.

I would keep Wilson over Jackson I think. Jackson is forcing everything. Wilson can stretch the floor here and there and get on the boards. He does have questionable fouls tho

Banton should be really the back up point guard. He compliments the starters especially, Barnes, Van Fleet, Trent Jr and Precious.

Delano Banton Is The "Smooth Operator" On Some Big Daddy Kane Shit
AGREE. 100%. Dalano has been the most consistent player the entire pre-season. Watching him play you can tell he has been given guidance. His drives and passes are deliberate, focused.
#NBChev Dalano 6'9" SG two player will be a problem.. He worked all year round in Florida, Rico and FIBA Canada team in Brazil. In the FIBA games he was the guy that all teams planned for, and the physicality and lack of space. He mentioned that he is now seeing more open space, and the physicality is less than what he experienced along with confidence… His drive rim shot, mid-range and FT are money, his 3pt shot will come back.. Happy for him, he deserves it…
Banton makes the team, and I think the competition is now between Justin, D.J. Wilson, Josh Jackson… I think Josh Jackson, Gabe Brown need some development time in our 905 league… If they know what is good for them they should stay their the entire year to develop their skills better along with Ron Harper Jr, and Dowtin. If Flynn 3pt shot does not translate this year, then Dowtin Jr can replace him as PG…

proud of dalano. he did non stop reps this summer and played summer league, team canada, rico runs, etc. never wasted a moment. his trainer said he's been changing up his diet so i hope we'll see some gains soon.

Dalano seems to be the only one who understands the gravity of the situation everytime he' on the court he brings the pressure on both ends if I'm Masai I'm sending everyone else fighting for that spot to the Gleague and they ain't coming back till the win the Chip down there.

Delano banton deserve more minutes then achiuwa, Delano could be are 6 man. I'm getting a Banton jersey for sure this year, he's impressed me more then scottie this pre season. 245 pound Ron harper Jr is an athetic beast, his defense is intense, he moves like Vince carter.
Delano’s shot is looking way smoother off the fingertips. Much more natural at the line. He’s gotta be there on the team he’s doing awesome out there
Couldnt agree more, Banton has shown he has that motor to take the physicality of the NBA and perform at a high level at the same time.
I believe in the long term the raptors are prepared to hold 2-3 young guards out of flynn banton champagne and/or dowtin so the 2 that shine will get those bench minutes and the other a deep bench spot so it’s gonna be interesting how this all shakes out
