I don't know why ppl are writing off Draymond Green just because he had a couple bad games in the finals? He was against a couple of the best offensive players in the world. I don't see ppl writing off Marcus Smart just because he couldn't guard Steph Curry in pretty much every game in the finals. With modern sports science, nutrition, infrared sauna and cryobath, etc. I can see Draymond stay in his prime well into his late thirties. Just my two cents!
My question is would Draymond have hit pool if he had not pushed him.
So what is the answer Cyrus when a team mate cold cocks a smaller team mate? Bob Myers pretending nothing happened. No suspension? Then the Dubs culture is a fraud. He didn’t anticipate the video being leaked. Of course Curry was agitated because he knew DG crossed the line.
Draymond blew up our chance at beating the Cavs by getting ejected in 2016. He blew up KD's final year with the Dubs when he verbally assaulted KD. We lost to the Raptors that year, KD bounced. Now he's punching Poole. He's a leader? He's way too emotionally immature. He's 32 years old not 15! I love Draymond but he can't do this type of stuff.
Sorry Cyrus, you struck out on this one. I think you need to come down harder on Draymond. You're minimizing and normalizing what he did. What he did was totally unacceptable.

Trading Dray or trying to is not the right move but only because the return that would be gotten would be extremely low at this point. He's been on the decline for years and the finals last year only cemented how his impact on winning has fallen off. His offensive game is complete garbage and the entire league knows it. No other player in the entire league is left out to try as an offensive player the way he is. The way other teams sag off him is fucking hilarious. Defensively he can absolutely still bring it, but only when he cares to and that for sure isn't on a consistent basis.
His lack of emotional awareness and intelligence is really really starting to get old at this point. As for being a 'leader' I think it's been overrated for years. Yes he always has and still does bring an intensity and competitive fire like few other players but honestly Steph is the leader of this team and everyone knows it and even he has become more vocal in recent years you can see him communicating just like Dray does.
I expect a suspension at the least maybe a week or two. We are in the midst of pre season so it's unlikely to have much an impact.
Longer term, Poole is getting paid for sure. It would do him nor the team any good for him to demand a trade etc. Shit like this at the very least has torpedoed any chance of Dray getting anything like a Max extension. It may even get his ass traded next off season before he can exercise his player option.
We know Dray has a history of pissing off a lot of people. Kerr and him have almost come to blows, him and KD obviously got into it before KD left and then they both took a shit on Kerr and Myers after the fact to try and make themselves look better.
Poole is no 'Curry ' he will eventually blaze his own "trail", he will eventually demand his own "fame"…
GSW as "CHAMPS" is Curry, Klay, and Dray… There is no other way!

I think everyone is blowing this out of proportion due to the fact that team mates fight, brothers & sisters fight, & friends definitely fight. Sometimes reflex won't let you not keep your hands off someone. Not saying Draymond was right because he's not, but these rookies being drafted are very disrespectful & cocky. Due to his pod cast & his career, he should have humbled himself & walked off, but sometimes you have enough & you explode. Should he be suspended or kicked off the team, no? I'm sure he regrets he hit his brother & because they have been together so long, makes him feel worse. Don't act like we never hit someone from playing too much or talking s*** because we would be lying if we say we haven't. Some people patience is short, & some you can't play with at all. Let them work it out, if it can't be worked out, then do what is best for the rest of the team & move on.

Cyrus, I remember a very short interview w/David West at the Dubs' 2018 Championship Parade where he was asked–or he commented–on the obstacles the team went through to win the chip. He said something along the lines of " … Oh! You don't want to know of the behind scenes challenging moments we went through." It's also the way he said it. I've found David's comment intriguing then. Now, I understand better of what he meant.

I love the Warriors and will (would) rejoice if (when) they repeat. But Draymond straight up assaulted JP. This is not cool. But it's on him. Not the guy who leaked the video, not the organization, and certainly not Jordan Poole. Yes, Draymond is great for the Warriors on the court, but he is also volatile. They won in great part thanks to him, but he also cost them a championship against the Cavs and caused KD to skip town.
So when I first heard of this incident I was very disappointed. As a fan I loved that my team didn't have a lot of unnecessary drama going on and that it was well ran by a great organization. However, it's crazy that this was being down played so much. I kept seeing other fans constantly say get rid of Green. I was against that but I do feel like the punishment harsh. However, after seeing the video I feel like this situation is way worse than what we were all led on to be. Yes I truly understand Draymond Greens value to the Warriors he is still a great defender. I feel like in this type of situation they should get rid of him. He does a lot of great things for the Warriors but he also hurts the team on numerous occasions as well. Let's not act like this is the 1st incident involving Green. Plus looking at how bad that punch was it's no coming back from that. If Green punched Curry like this he would be gone with no hesitation. Green has been falling off and almost cost them the finals for how bad he played. Yes we might not win without him, but there's no guarantee we're winning with him this year with this type of drama anyway. Trading him for a player that can fit the Warriors might actually work out. I would love to keep Green and maybe they can figure out some other punishment but this is so messed up for JP. It's extremely embarrassing that this video leaked out. The Warriors organization need to figure out what they are going to do with this situation instead of focusing more on finding out who leaked the tape. As a fan it's ridiculously that they publicly downplayed this situation. I rather them just say they wanna keep this private. It's looking like they were just going to sweep this under the rug before the video leaked. Now, however more is going to be expected. Warriors need to figure this out. Hopefully, JP can get pass all of this drama on the internet.
