He’s gonna be gone next year anyways. Definitely look to trade him for some assets back.
This situation, which probably wouldn’t have been as bad if it wasn’t leaked to the public/media, will be hard to recover from.

Does it even matter how we personally feel? Stupid question.
Edit: pretty much Reddit in a nutshell, stupid people wasting time asking and answering stupid questions, giving and taking away votes that don’t matter. Myself included.

For me it all comes down to Poole. If he and Draymond are cool with working it out and moving forward, then that’s all that matters. Let him play out the season and see how it goes.

I think he deserves a last chance to make things right. But he also needs to argue less with FO and refs and refrain from things that could keep the team from winning in anyway like getting unnecessary techs.

I hate the idea of trying to leverage a team GOAT fucking up to move off money, which is really the most you could get that was a sure thing. Maybe a protected FRP or low value SRPs tossed in. You’ll always get lose this type of transaction. Always.
You’d never get anything half as valuable as Dray as far as 2022-23 are concerned. I’m all the way out. Alc is my favorite and he’s def in the “I only love Dray when he’s worth loving” camp. I remember him being the first guy saying “would you trade him for?” after his garbage 2019-20 season. I’m def in the “better a year early than a year late” camp but the plus minus and win loss numbers still speak volumes in Drays favor.
When you ho down the rabbit hole understanding to have to do something with three teams to make money work or give Moody/PBJ as the second slot if you are taking two players back. Its not as appealing as it is simply saying “you could have Ben Simmons straightup” which is pure comedy to me.
Reality is nothing is as valuable to our team other than Steph… than Drays ability to quarterback a defense and provide “intensity to match” energy for the rest to the team to look to. I’m all the way out.

If the goal is to win a championship this year, then the Warriors need to keep Draymond. This team is worse without him and if you need any evidence to validate that opinion, watch the first 20 games last season and the subsequent games after Draymond got hurt. Draymond was playing DPOY level defense and the defense dropped off significantly after he got hurt.
Now if Poole said he will sit out the year unless Draymond gets traded, that’s a different story. JP seems like a pro so I think he’ll suck it up for this season, I just don’t see Draymond coming back next season unless he completely bombs this year and opts in with his PO.
