[Stein] The Mavericks are in advanced talks with former Denver PG Facundo Campazzo on a one-year deal, league sources say. Dallas still has a 15th roster spot uncommitted; Campazzo appears increasingly poised to seize it barring an unforeseen Mavs move before Opening Night rosters lock.

RIP 15th spot rumors. It was nice knowing you.

  2. I hope he is a ā€œbreak glass in case of emergencyā€ player.

He should not be getting regular mins because that’s why Dragic wasn’t signed.

The optimist in me says we got a really good floor general for the second unit who Luka will love to hang out with.

The realist in me says he’s not an NBA player and we have by far the worst backup PG in the league with this move.

Fine if he comes understanding he’s gonna get 0 mins lots of night.

If they plan on playing him 10-15 mins a night that’s gonna suck.

Facu is like time traveling two decades back, bleaching Brevin Knight, and taking him with you to 2022.

I’m fine with this, would be interesting for me seeing someone JJ Barea’s size on the Mavs roster once again. šŸ˜€

  7. Whatever- not like this spot is going to get playing time in the playoffs

I’ve seen people really upset about this potential move. This is a move you should feel indifferent about. Definitely not something that should make Mavs fans so upset. He is most likely coming in to play the role that Dragic didn’t want to play. He is going to come in and play as much as Trey Burke, which is play very little unless there is an injury. This is not going to stop the Mavs from adding another playmaker via trade mid-season if a better option is available.

If he is filling the same role that Trey Burke did last season (so basically a reserve guard), then I’m good. But if he’s supposed to be our backup PG and run the second unit, I’ll be disappointed.

In Nico, we trust! We desperately need a ballhandler specially when Luka or Dinwiddie is not healthy. I know hes not good but this is the reality. We only have vet min available.

13th man in the roster bro, stop whining lmao

*until Kidd putting him like Powell last season*

  12. Prepare yourselves for the mass of Argentinian fans coming your way.

Watch this sumbitch get here and ball tf out lol. Because that’s usually how shit goes down for the Mavs, guys with huge expectations *fails miserably* guys with no expectations *cooks the whole fucking NBA*

So he is taking Trey Burke’s spot.

Watch this fanbase completely flip the narrative the moment we sign him. From universal disapproval to immediate praise and acceptance
