Great game for Wiseman tonight. Looked heavily improved on both ends of the floor, especially offense, in comparison to the summer league and especially his rookie year. Still looks a bit afraid of contact despite his size which harms his ability to screen and defend, but that should definitely improve within time.

Stay healthy young man.
He doesn’t look lost anymore. Still plenty of room for improvement, but much better positioning, better aggressiveness, not getting caught in no man’s land on D, and a better job going vertical to contest and alter shots. Love to see it
fucking refs
Looked good, showed some nice touch around the rim tonight and a better FT stroke (although he seems to like the Nurkic matchup, small sample size though) certainly more than viable enough as a backup C
“bust”
I still think injuries are a concern (knock on wood). But anyone who thinks Wiseman was a bust based on skill is just goofy. Even in his rookie season, you could see the potential.
He looked good tonight. How has he yet to figure out how to set a screen though. You’ve got Dray and Loon, some of the masters of the hard screen, to learn from.
He’s looking way more legit. He’s gonna be a really good backup C for the warriors
he actually looks good now holy shit
He got drafted as a project. He’s only gonna get better.
The warriors are gonna be good until I die aren’t they?
His body is insane. Give him a slightly above average Bball IQ for an NBA player and he would dominate
This man only just played his first summer league this offseason, has only played one proper season, and only played three college games because of some reason
He’s got the talent, just needs to get the experience
Happy for the dude – literally has been waiting for a year to hoop 😇
HE IS CATCHING THE BALL!!!!!!!!!!!
Moody and Wiseman look like they’ve taken a step, Kuminga has only taken the step on the defensive rebounding side though. 2nd unit looking nice DiVencenzo and Green look great.
We tried to tell yaw!
Watched some of this game and agree with OP take that Wiseman needs to get more physical especially with screens. He’s gotta go do the dirty work if he wants to compete for big minutes at C for the warriors when they got Looney the machine there.
His game is nice tho, big fella just need to make sure he doesnt end up soft like KAT
That’s a bad dude right there
hE’s A bUsT
Lots of people wanted to label him a bust, but he’s had so much bad luck he’s had almost no playing time in the last 2-3 years.
The only bad thing we actually know is that he’s behind schedule, but he has the ability to get really good really fast if he figure out role in this system. He’s physical ability is still absolutely crazy.
Yes.
> Still looks a bit afraid of contact
Spending your first two seasons injured will do that lol
A lot of haters are going to be mad when he lives up to being a number two overall pick.
As a decent human being you want to root against the Warriors continued embarrassment of riches, but also bless up kid. Stay healthy James Wiseman!
With how Wiggins, Draymond, and Looney were cleaning up boards in the playoffs, the Warriors were already a really sneaky-good rebounding team. If Wiseman can stay active in boards and hold that down for the second unit, the Warriors could be one of the best rebounding teams in the league which will be a big plus. So many of the Warriors thrive on transition buckets, with Curry, Klay, and Poole being big utilizers of the transition 3, Draymond being an excellent transition playmaker, and Wiggins, Kuminga, and Wiseman all being strong finishers who love to run. Securing more rebounds and getting out in transition is going to be huge in building and maintaining momentum.
