Miami gave shooting guard Tyler Herro a max rookie deal extension. Herro was the NBA 6th Man of the Year in 2022 and averaged 20.7 PPG for the Miami Heat. Last season the Heat were the no. 1 seeded team in the Eastern Conference. They managed to stretch the favorited Boston Celtics to a game 7 in the Eastern Conference Finals before Jimmy Butler missed a potential game winning three at the end of regulation. Butler and the Heat will enter the 2022-2023 season undoubtedly with that same energy. Herro hopes to act as a spark plug from range as he has the past two seasons. Bam Adebayo remains their interior defensive menace. Kyle Lowry will hope to put a bad postseason behind him. The Heat did lost P.J. I don't know which take is worst; the fact that you guys believe Oladipo is a defensive "abomination" or the idea that the Heat would've gotten swept out the finals by the Warriors… What kinna crack yall been smoking?

I would like you to consider that Herro was out as well as Lowry playing hurt (the latter with Lowry being far more important). Their offense doesn't really go without Lowry, Heat fans were saying that in preseason.
However if you think the Heat will not still contend for a title this year I would like you to go look up Nikola Jovic, Jamal Cain, and Omer Yurtseven….then come back and tell me all about how everyone in the East got better but the Heat this year.
People still haven't learned their lesson with that team. Even Duncan Robinson is looking way different this year. Dipo was still coming off injury last year. It's still preseason but honestly…you should be scared of those guys….
