Top YouTube comment: “The media needs to stop projecting the way THEY treat Jaylen on the fans, cause I always see nothing but positivity for Jaylen.”
I agree with that 100%.

The real question is do the uncontacted tribes in the Amazon see him that way?
holographoc

I don’t know what an A-lister means in this context, but Brown is a flawed player and there’s nothing wrong with fans acknowledging that. He’s the worst defender and most turnover prone player in the starting 5 imo.
I think he’s also the best pure scorer on the team but having shotty handles limits his effectiveness when he doesn’t have it going offensively.
He’ll likely be 2nd in ppg behind Tatum, but will probably be 3rd behind Brogdon in total points generated because of how turnover prone he is.

Lmao. Who gives a flying fuck what “the fans” think.

Jaylen is the man. IMO He is a top player and deserves that recognition. He is the person who gets the Celts started every game. This is skill based leadership. To be honest, he is my #1 option.

Boston sports radio is the biggest detriment to the long term success of every Boston team.
This motherfucker acts like we haven’t considered Jaylen Brown!?
weiner-rama
Why the fuck should it matter how the fans see him. If the legit number one option on the team, sees his teammate as an A-lister – he’s an A-lister. Like as long as they produce who the fuck even cares.
lifeishardasshit
I know we do… But do other fan bases not think he’s a top 20 guy in the league ?

As if we, *the actual fans*, DON’T wake up every morning and consider Jaylen Brown?
I know I do

I don’t think this is an “issue” at all.
Gasper is a football guy trying to talk about basketball, I don’t care what he has to say.

If Brown is worried about how fans view him, then he’s already gone. I doubt thats the case tho
Valuable-Baked
Yes, we do. He just needs to stay away from Kanye

Sports media has gone out of its way for years to push the Jaylen brown is just a good player narrative to the fans. They made strides to create separation in levels of player between the two. Tatums a star future top 5 player and Jaylen is just a really good all star caliber two way player. Those narratives will begin to set in the mind of a lot of fans but that’s not our fault. The problem is that Jaylens ascension and determination to be great is starting to make them look bias and preferential which they are and now they wanna blame the fans.

Yes. Yes we do.

Why does it matter how fans view him?
He is a player that has 822 assists and 752 turnovers for his career.
He is praised for his defense, but is maybe the worst off-ball defender in the league.
He is good. Probably a B+. Top 30 and maybe, at his peak, top-20. He struggles to make other players better, makes you an A-lister.
FakeBasketballGod
Jaylen gets more respect each year as his game develops further. Isn’t that the way it’s supposed to work? He only missed the ASG b/c injury last year.
