For the vast majority of basketball players in the league, what happened to Gordon Hayward in Boston would have been a career-ending injury for them (at least NBA-wise). The fact that Hayward is still playing and contributing at a high level is nothing short of a small miracle.
For Mitch Kupchak to say that Gordon needs to get back to form is really an insult to Hayward. This is the player he is, and shouldn't be expected to be as good as LaMelo Ball, a ROY prodigy, who hasn't even entered his prime. 🏀

Not everybody on the NBA team even gets playing time especially 8-9 rotation even in the playoff’s some bench player don’t even get a playing time. As long as LiAngelo looks good and gets like two minutes playing time and under $500 thousand Melo will be happy

Life long Hornets fan and I’ve watched all 5 of our preseason matches. I’m not completely sold on Gelo mostly because he hasn’t got much burn for me to see what he can do. That being said I notice that when he does get put in the game it looks like the other player purposely pass him up by not feeding him the ball. I’m sure some of that is guys fighting for roster spots, but I’ve notice that James Bouknight seems to really change of Jelo is in the game at the same time he is. Don’t know if that has to do with him being worried about his spot on the team or if other players hate the idea that Jelo is Lamelo’s brother. Just a general observation I noticed across these 5 games.

i dont think a two team expansion would be enough, with the amount of young talent and old guys refuse to get old we kind of need more. a 3rd round in the draft for example together with a second tier minor league. that would also help the g-league getting more recognition.. if "washed" old players and really raw rookies play in the low tier league while those who are basicly nba ready and just waiting for a shot are playin in the g-league. and yes. there are more then enough talented guys to fill up two minor leagues, especially if we should get a 3rd round of draft.
